The kitchen area isn’t just for show either; I mean, you could actually cook a proper meal if you wanted to, though honestly, you’re in Verona, so why would you? The whole vibe feels contemporary but not sterile, if that makes sense. They’ve managed to avoid that bland international hotel aesthetic that makes you forget which city you’re even in.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – and this is coming from someone who’s stayed in way too many places where you hear every conversation in the hallway. The 8.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s one of those spots that grows on you rather than wowing you immediately. The location puts you within walking distance of the main sights without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos, which honestly is perfect timing-wise because you can slip out early before the crowds descend on Juliet’s balcony and all that. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward lobby hovering while they “prepare your room.” The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well enough to give decent recommendations, not just the obvious tourist traps. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but everything works properly and feels clean and well-maintained. Sometimes that’s honestly all you need, especially when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway. For the price point and the fact that you get actual space to breathe, it’s a solid choice if you want something more personal than a chain hotel but more reliable than rolling the dice on some random B&B.

  What could be improved: Que la primera mañana nos despertaron con una obra en la pared de la habitación y se veían los obreros en la ventana golpeando y rascando la pared desde las 8 de la mañana. Podían haberlo hecho a partir de las 10 perfectamente puesto que tardaron 2 horas en el trabajo pero sin previo aviso nos despertaron a las 8, es un primer piso y el susto de ver gente por la ventana haciendo ruido fue muy desagradable. La anfitriona dijo no saber nada y solo nos informó de que habían acabado cuando ya nos habíamos ido muy molestas de la habitación. Eso hay q avisarlo y si es posible hacerlo un poco más tarde.

  Not much comfort in the room – just one armchair. Everything was sort of rationed – 5 coffee capsules for 2 persons for 4 days/3 nights; not even a small bottle of water available; very minimalistic equipment. Bed was comfortable but pillows really need to be replaced by more comfortable ones; no bedside's lamps. I could not understand the "junior suite" name, it's not a suite.

  – Very close to the city center, near the river with beautiful view.
  – Good Wi-Fi which was easy to connect to.
  – Very interesting check-in process with clear instructions.
  – Host left a folder with great recommendations of what to see and where to eat.
  – Bus stop nearby.
  
  What could be improved: – The apartment is on the first floor, so the ventilation wasn't great, and the air was damp. Also, first floor means insects if you open the windows. And it was a bit dark all the time.
  – There was a very strange and very small set of kitchenware (e.g., there was tea and sugar (which is good), but no cups for tea, only glasses).
  – Mattress wasn't very good. Our backs hurt all the time.
