La Buccetta B&B Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about La Buccetta B&B? I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place, honestly – I mean, we’ve all been burned by those overpromising little spots before. But this place actually delivers on what a proper bed and breakfast should be. The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense that someone genuinely cares about the details here. The owners (and I’m pretty sure they live on-site) have this way of making you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s house rather than just another booking number.
The rooms have that lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – nothing fancy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works exactly as it should. The bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning in foam, and honestly, I slept better than I have in months. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even when other guests are around. The walls must be decent because I never heard my neighbors, which is more than I can say for most places in this price range. The bathroom situation is solid too – good water pressure, actually hot water that stays hot, and they stock proper toiletries, not those tiny bottles that run out after one shower.
But here’s the thing that really sets La Buccetta apart – the breakfast situation is legit. I’m talking about actual homemade stuff, not those sad continental spreads with stale pastries. Fresh bread, local jams that taste like someone’s grandmother made them, coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine that hasn’t been cleaned since 2019. The hosts seem to know exactly when to chat and when to let you eat in peace, which is honestly an art form. They also have this knack for local recommendations that aren’t just the obvious tourist traps – they pointed me toward a couple spots I never would have found otherwise. The whole experience feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find these days. With a 9.0 rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one who thinks they’re doing something right here. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to coming back at the end of the day, rather than just tolerating it as somewhere to crash.
To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

It was our first time in an Airbnb/Room managed by a private host and Claudio exceeded our expectations! He is the friendliest host you can have, our room was being cleaned/made up every day while we were gone (which we did not expect), he prepared breakfast every morning (he baked croissants for us) and even gave us tourist information! He was delighted to help with anything we needed and to have a little chat. The room was nice, it was equipped with essential toiletries, a tourist-guide, an iron, a mini fridge and the bed had the MOST COMFORTABLE MATTRESS EVER!
What could be improved: Only downside was the distance from the city centre, on foot it was about half an hour, which we didn't mind, but you have to walk through some questionable neighbourhoods, so after day 2 we got an e-scooter every time we could from the train station which was 10 minutes away on foot. There's also a Lidl nearby, but the streets to get there are not all pedestrian-friendly.Christopher from United Kingdom – 4 January 2024 (9/10)
We had a super stay. Claudio was extremely attentive and helpful at every opportunity. The location is a quiet suburb but also very easy to access the center of Verona. Our room was excellent also.

Beautiful B and B, lovely traditional building with lovely hosts x There’s a bus stop within 30 seconds walk which takes you into the heart of the city within 8 minutes. Room was lovely and bed super comfortable. 10/10 x

breakfast, kind staff, clean and well equipped apartment
What could be improved: a bit far from the city centerDejan from South Africa – 2 June 2023 (9/10)
Well located, clean, and most of all – super friendly host. So many things to see and do around Verona, you really only need a good advice, bed and breakfast.
What could be improved: We traveled by bike and an off street parking would have been convenient. Free public parking available nearby – so not a big deal.Kristiaan from Belgium – 10 May 2023 (9/10)

close to the Verona Porta vescovo train station.Aliaksei from Poland – 12 August 2022 (9/10)
The house and landlord were so awesome! It’s better then stay at any hotel💪🏻
lost of small stuff even thread and needle are persist for your own needs. You will live in a small castle with cozy room, smell and family.
p.s. if you’re boring there are dog and kitty outside 👍
p.s.s. Landlord looks very similar to Russian Rock-star Gleb Samoylov 😅Katie from Czech Republic – 9 August 2022 (9/10)
It is very clean and comfortable. Location is good (around 20min walk to city center); very friendly host.
