Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first booked La casa di Giordy – I mean, you see these smaller Italian places online and sometimes wonder if they’ll live up to the photos, you know? But walking up to this little gem, I immediately got that feeling you get when you stumble onto something special that somehow still feels like a secret.

The place has this wonderful lived-in warmth that you just can’t fake – like stepping into someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. Giordy (and yes, there really is a Giordy) clearly put thought into every corner without trying too hard to impress. The breakfast setup is where this really shines – fresh pastries that smell like they came from around the corner, coffee that’s actually strong enough to wake you up, and this casual family-style atmosphere where you end up chatting with other travelers over jam and butter. I noticed the floors have these beautiful old tiles that probably have stories to tell, and honestly, the whole place just feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find these days.

What really struck me was how that 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be fancy – this is solid 3-star territory – but everything just works exactly as it should. The rooms are clean and comfortable without being flashy, the shower has proper water pressure (thank goodness), and the beds are actually good for sleeping, not just looking pretty in photos. You know what I appreciated most though? The genuine hospitality. When I had questions about getting around, they gave me real local advice, not just the standard tourist pamphlet stuff. Plus, the whole place has this quiet charm that makes you want to slow down a bit – no lobby chaos, no crowds fighting over elevators, just a peaceful spot where you can actually relax. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like staying with knowledgeable locals than checking into a corporate chain, this is exactly that kind of place. Sure, it might not have all the bells and whistles of a big resort, but sometimes what you really want is just a comfortable base with people who genuinely care about your stay.

  Mi è piaciuto tutto, posizione dalla fiera top, parcheggio libero su strada ma che si trova con molta facilita, tutte le comodità in casa e cucina bene attrezzata. Assistenza e cordialità per qualunque necessità

  Ho prenotato questo appartamento per trascorre un weekend a Verona con la mia famiglia e due bimbi.
  Cosa dire, appartamento molto pulito, accogliente, curato nei minimi dettagli e dotato di tutti i confort necessari per una coppia, che per una famiglia!
  La posizione è strategica sia per la fiera ma sopratutto per raggiungere il centro!
  Valentina è stata una super host, gentilissima e disponibile, reattiva velocemente a rispondere ai messaggi! Mi ha messo subito a mio agio, ci ritorneremo di sicuro.

  Dwie łazienki, dwie sypialnie, salon z kuchnią. Idealny układ pomieszczeń dla grupy 6 osób. Zostaliśmy przywitani winem, a w lodówce czekała na nas woda dla każdego. Wszystkie niezbędne rzeczy były przygotowane tj. Szampon, mydło, żel pod prysznic, ręczniki, kubki, talerze itd Czysto, pachnąco. Przemiła właścicielka, blisko centrum, przystanek autobusowy obok.

  Appartamento grande e accogliente composto da ampio soggiorno con divano-letto e cucinotto, due bagni, due camere da letto matrimoniale e piccolo balconcino.
  Arredamento moderno con letti confortevoli!
  Entrambi i bagni composti da due docce molto spaziose, shampoo, bagno doccia, asciugamani e asciugacapelli in dotazione!
  L'appartamento era pulitissimo e dotato di tutto il necessario per passare il weekend !
  Abbiamo prenotato qui per la vicinanza alla fiera la cui entrata più vicina dista di davvero pochi metri (5minuti a piedi!)
  La proprietaria gentilissima e puntualissima per il check-in e davvero molto disponibile a soddisfare tutte le nostre necessità!
  Nel complesso un ottimo soggiorno! Ci torneremo sicuramente per la prossima Fiera Cavalli!

  Posto perfetto per un soggiorno confortevole. Posizione super comoda vicino alla stazione di Verona porta nuova. Appartamento pulito con due grandi camere da letto, due bagni e aria condizionata.

  Oly the price and location. The coffee bar near by was very nice and shiny.
  
  What could be improved: Not clean, difficulty with check-in, no lift, one of the AC was not working with the universal RC, the third bed was not prepared according to the reservation.

  The apartment was nice, I loved how comfy the beds were. It was clean and had both air con and fans. We had clean towels, soap and champu.
  
  What could be improved: The sofa bed wasn't as comfy as the beds, but ok to sleep in. Since the location was about 30 min walk from the centre, it would have been good to have some info about local buses and nearby cafés, etc (we did look for this ourselves) as well as some coffee, detergent for the washing machine or extra bags for the rubbish. We couldn't find a broom either.

  The property is near by center. It was clean,lot of space. There was place where to cook. You can open the door of the apartament and the door of the bulding from the phone. It was a great experience

  Large open space and size of apartment was perfect for two couples.
  
  What could be improved: It would have been nice to have a coffee machine that wasn't missing a part and actually worked especially since so many coffee capsules were available also if tea and sugar was available it would have been a great addition to the kettle which was provided.
  Apart from this everything else was perfect.
