You know what caught me off guard about La Casa di Mia? I went in expecting your typical three-star place – decent but nothing to write home about – and honestly, this little gem completely flipped that assumption on its head. The moment you walk through the front door, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. I mean, the lobby isn’t huge or flashy, but everything feels thoughtfully chosen, from the warm lighting to these gorgeous local ceramics scattered around that you can tell aren’t just generic hotel decor.

The staff here – and I’m not just being nice – genuinely seem to love what they’re doing. During check-in, the woman at the front desk didn’t just hand me a key card and point toward the elevator. She actually took a few minutes to tell me about this little café around the corner that apparently makes the best morning pastries (she was absolutely right, by the way), and mentioned that the rooms on the third floor tend to be quieter if you’re a light sleeper. That kind of personal touch is exactly what you hope for but rarely get, especially at this price point. My room was clean and comfortable – not luxurious, sure, but everything worked properly and the bed was surprisingly good. The shower had decent water pressure, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a commercial hotel. You’ll notice other guests actually chatting with each other in the common areas, and there’s this relaxed atmosphere that just makes you want to slow down a bit. The 9.6 rating starts making perfect sense once you’re there – it’s not about having the fanciest amenities or the most Instagram-worthy spaces. It’s about doing all the fundamentals really, really well and making people feel genuinely welcome. I ended up extending my stay by two nights, partly because I wasn’t ready to leave but also because rebooking was so easy and the rates stayed reasonable. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentic and personal rather than corporate and polished, La Casa di Mia hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Alessandra came over to the property to hand over the key even there is a key box. She prepared a lot of small gifts, like snack, jelly, water and coffee/drink in the kitchen and many amenities which many girls need but are not prepared in the accommodation. I can feel her hospitality everywhere in the house.
  
  What could be improved: Would be 120% perfect if there is a washing machine, but i can find a coin laundry. So no problem at all.

  An outstanding property in Verona. Although the apartment is accessible via a key lock-box, Alessandra will show up whenever possible to welcome guests and show them all its features. The apartment is spotlessly clean, FULLY equipped with some thoughful/useful touches. Parking in the building garage is also a big plus in this area where street parking is difficult.

  I had an incredible stay at La Casa di Mia. Alessandra, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. There is nothing better when travelling alone than staying somewhere where you feel at home and Alessandra made that happen.

  The apartment was GREAT!! The host was warm and helpful, the apartment had everything you could desire. The coffee machine was awesome for starting the day, the bed and couch were very cozy and all in all i would definitely stay here if i come to Verona again.
