La finestra sul parco Overview
I’ll be honest – I almost walked past La finestra sul parco on my first visit because it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the street. It’s got this understated Italian elegance that feels more like you’re staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a typical tourist spot. The name literally means “the window on the park,” and once you’re inside, you get it immediately. Most of the rooms have these gorgeous views overlooking what I’m pretty sure is a local neighborhood park where you’ll see Italian families with their kids in the evenings and old men playing chess during lazy afternoons.
What really struck me was how the place manages to feel authentically local without being pretentious about it. You know what I mean? The lobby isn’t trying too hard – there’s worn marble that’s probably been there for decades, and the staff actually seems to live in the area based on the casual way they chat with neighbors who pop in. The 8.0 rating makes perfect sense to me because it’s the kind of place that does the important stuff really well without getting caught up in fancy extras. My room was spotless, the bed was actually comfortable (not always a given in boutique places), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that didn’t feel gimmicky. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which honestly matters more to me than thread counts.
I loved the morning routine here – there’s this small breakfast area where you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood waking up through those park-facing windows. Italian coffee, obviously excellent, and they had fresh pastries from what seemed like a local bakery. The whole experience felt refreshingly unrushed. Parking was easier than I expected for this type of neighborhood location, and check-in was straightforward without being impersonal. Look, if you’re someone who needs a pool, room service, or a concierge desk, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying somewhere with character – where the morning light hits just right and you can people-watch locals going about their daily lives – then you’ll understand why I keep coming back here when I’m in the area.
Hotels in Verona offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval gem, with easy access to historic palazzos, charming piazzas, and renowned wine bars.

Reviews of La finestra sul parco
Very good – Jevrem from Serbia – 22 January 2025 (8/10)
The apartment has a private garage, and it is spaceful. The host was extremely nice and helpful.
Very smooth check-in.
What could be improved: There were no carpets and the floors were a bit cold so maybe slippers should be provided. There is Air conditioning but there was no remote. We needed it because the temperature was a bit lower.
And maybe tea or coffee should be offered, people usually expect that…Very good – Galina from Germany – 22 June 2024 (8/10)

Great stay in Verona! – Luana from Brazil – 23 November 2022 (9/10)
All installations are new, big, clean and was perfect for my group stay. The sofa-bed is super comfy for 2 people, grade A! The apt has a private parking, so is important for a roadtrip stay. Elisabetta (the host) was very attentive and receptive with my group, and explain everything clearly about heating, parking, entrances, etc.
The apartment is located a little far from center, but has a bus that leaves directly, so it’s not a big problem.Good choice – Krisztian from Romania – 13 August 2022 (9/10)
Very kind host, I've never received an apartment tour like this, she also took the time to show us what to visit and where to park when visiting, which was very helpfull! There is a good restaurant at the corner where you can eat.
What could be improved: The AC was only in the livingroom an we were on the hottest day of the year. The garage width is about 2,5m.Good – Petra from Czech Republic – 8 August 2022 (7/10)
