La Magnolia – Rooms Overview

I’ll be honest – La Magnolia – Rooms caught me completely off guard. You know how sometimes you book a place based on the rating alone (and that 8.9 definitely speaks for itself), without really knowing what you’re getting into? Well, that was me with this one, and honestly, I’m so glad I took that leap.

The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. I mean, it’s not trying to be some massive resort or boutique hotel with all the bells and whistles – it’s just… well, it’s genuinely comfortable in the best possible way. The rooms have this lived-in quality that doesn’t feel worn down, if that makes sense. Like, the furniture feels substantial, not that flimsy stuff you usually get, and there are these little touches – maybe fresh flowers or just the way the lighting hits in the evening – that make you realize someone’s put real thought into how you’ll actually experience the space. What really got me was how quiet it stays, even when other guests are around. You know that paper-thin wall situation you dread? Not here. I actually slept through the night, which honestly doesn’t happen often when I’m traveling.

The whole setup just works for the kind of traveler who wants to feel settled rather than impressed, if you know what I mean. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy pitch about amenities I won’t use or restaurant reservations I don’t need. Just genuine helpfulness when I had questions about the area. And speaking of the area, there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that feels connected to its surroundings rather than dropped in randomly. I found myself walking around more than usual, partly because the neighborhood invites it, but also because I wasn’t exhausted from an overstimulating hotel experience. Look, I won’t pretend it’s perfect for everyone – if you’re the type who needs a full concierge service or expects turndown chocolates, this probably isn’t your speed. But if you want a place where you can actually relax, where your room feels like a comfortable base rather than just somewhere to crash, then you should seriously consider it. That 8.9 rating isn’t an accident – it’s what happens when a place consistently delivers on the simple promise of being genuinely pleasant to stay at.

Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

Reviews of La Magnolia – Rooms

  • Very nice place to stay – Zhan from Germany – 10 July 2025 (9/10)

very friendly host, nice and clean room, good location, very close to the main attractions, and the host allowed me to leave my luggage after checking out. Good value for money

What could be improved: The toilet seat is really too small, and the shower door does not close, but these are only small issues that could be fixed very easily.

  • A fantastic host location and accommodation – Larissa from Australia – 6 July 2025 (10/10)

The host was so welcoming and helpful. The property was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and whilst across the hall it was no problem. The kitchen was great for making drinks and breakfast. Just outside was a great supermarket. The Piazza Bra and Arena were only minutes away 😊 We like everything about it.💗

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Perfect place to stay in Verona – Anna from Poland – 4 July 2025 (10/10)

    – very kind and helpful host – Ilaria ☺️👌
    – great location
    – clean & tidy

  • Loved it all! – Svetlana from United States – 1 July 2025 (10/10)

The location is amazing, just steps from the Arena, a grocery store and easy parking on the same block. The room is sparse but very comfortable and super clean . The staff was very helpful in person and via text. And we loved having a kitchen and coffee ready to make in the morning !!!

  • When I come back to Verona, I’ll be here once again! – Fawzi from United States – 24 May 2025 (10/10)

Verrrryy spacious room and bathroom. The bathroom is adjacent but still private. There was also a mini kitchen that we were allowed to use and it was always stocked with little cookies and coffee pods. We were welcomed by Benedetta, who also took the time and care to share some tips on viewing the city and good restaurants to try. The Arena and the main plaza is literally down the street so everything was close to us location wise.

What could be improved: Nothing to add

  • Superb – Mariia from Spain – 23 May 2025 (9/10)

Very good location, right in the middle of city. Clean and tidy, great kitchen with a nice balcony. Comfy bed.

What could be improved: Because the bathrooms are separate – even if you have a single neighbour that comes to sleep a bit late – they are going to wake you up going in and out of it. Jiggling of keys locking up the room and again, when opening up/closing up the bathrom, it is very loud, epsecially if they will not make an effort not to slam it. There is a big gap under the door, so you can hear everything that happens in the corridor.

  • Highly recommend – Anna from United Kingdom – 19 May 2025 (10/10)

    Great locations.

  • Brilliant room and location – Christina from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (10/10)

Brilliant, spacious and clean room, everything I needed and more. The host was really lovely and kind and made me feel at home. The room was large with a separate private bathroom which was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I had a little balcony too. In the kitchen there were biscuits and tea/coffee. Brilliant location too as I was right in the middle of the city. Highly recommend!!

  • Superb – Ylva from Switzerland – 23 April 2025 (9/10)

The location was incredible and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

What could be improved: It was bit hard to find the entrance, but we managed since the owners replied very quickly to our message.

  • Top class hospitality and service and very nice and comfortable accommodation, perfectly located! – Annika from Sweden – 14 April 2025 (10/10)

Perfectly located in old town Verona and very neat, clean and comfortable just like displayed photos. We’d highly recommend La Magnolia If you visit Verona! /Annika, Johan, Julius from Sweden
