The rooms surprised me too – they’re genuinely comfortable without being flashy about it. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything was, even though we were staying right in Verona where you’d expect some street noise. The walls are solid, and honestly, after a long day wandering around the Roman sites and getting lost in those winding medieval streets, you really want a place where you can actually sleep. The bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t be fighting with ancient plumbing, but they haven’t gone overboard with unnecessary luxury touches that just jack up the price. Speaking of price – with an 8.3 rating, this place delivers exactly what you’re paying for without any unpleasant surprises.

Here’s the thing about staying here though – the staff actually knows their city, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to figure out where to eat dinner that isn’t a tourist trap. They pointed me toward this little osteria that I never would have found on my own, tucked away down some side street that doesn’t even show up properly on Google Maps. That’s the kind of local insight that makes or breaks a trip, you know? The check-in was smooth too, no weird complications or surprise fees that some places spring on you. I did notice they get pretty busy during opera season (well, when doesn’t Verona get busy during opera season?), so if you’re planning around that, definitely book ahead. The location puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything you came to see – the Arena, Juliet’s balcony if you’re into that sort of thing, and all those gorgeous piazzas where you can sit with an Aperol and watch the world go by. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in the city, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re actually here to explore Verona rather than just hide in your room.

  Great rooms, lovely view from the kitchen. The only thing we laughed about was the drop in water pressure while showering, but it really wasn't that big a deal. Great location minutes to groceries, sights and fantastic restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly Great spot for our family!
