La Veronetta di Franca Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to La Veronetta di Franca on Via Santa Chiara, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. This four-star boutique property sits in one of Verona’s most coveted neighborhoods — honestly, the location score of 9.2 isn’t just marketing fluff. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-kept local secret rather than just another tourist hotel.
The Perfect Verona Base
What I love about this spot is how effortlessly you can explore the city from here. You’re actually within walking distance of Juliet’s House and the Arena di Verona, but tucked away on a quieter street that locals use as a shortcut. I mean, you get all the accessibility without the constant buzz of tour groups right outside your window. The neighborhood has that authentic Veronese charm — there’s a little café around the corner where locals grab their morning espresso, and you’ll find yourself naturally falling into the rhythm of the city.
The Room Experience
The accommodations here strike that perfect balance between comfort and character. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate, with touches that reflect the local culture without going overboard on the theme. You know what impressed me most? The attention to practical details — good lighting for actually reading, proper outlets where you need them, and windows that open to let in that Italian air (something you don’t always get in renovated historic buildings). The furnishings blend modern comfort with traditional Veronese style.
Why Couples Keep Coming Back
There’s definitely something romantic about this place that goes beyond the obvious Verona connection. Maybe it’s the intimate scale — you’re not lost in a massive hotel complex — or the way the staff remembers your preferences after just a day or two. The common areas have this relaxed elegance where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over lobby noise. I’ve noticed couples tend to linger here longer than they planned, and honestly, I get it. The ambiance encourages genuine connection and relaxation.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.3 rating reflects what you experience from the moment you arrive — everything just works smoothly without feeling overly formal or stuffy. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy helping guests discover their version of Verona, whether that’s directing you to the best gelato spot or helping you time your visit to the Arena perfectly. It’s the kind of place where small gestures — like remembering how you take your coffee or suggesting a quieter route to avoid the crowds — add up to something memorable. You leave feeling like you’ve experienced Verona the way it’s meant to be experienced, not just checked it off a list. This is what makes La Veronetta di Franca truly exceptional.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

Elisa is a wonderful, kind host and the apartment is simply fantastic. Clean, spacious, and very quiet at night. The heart of Verona is at walking distance, but don't neglect the little neighbourhood you'll be staying in, it has plenty to offer, too! Next time I return to Verona, I will gladly book this apartment again.
What could be improved: I might be imagining things here, but I think the double bed is 190cm long? My feet were dangling over the edge (I'm 1,85m tall). I adjusted by simply sleeping diagonal in the otherwise comfortable bed, but it's something for taller travellers to keep in mind 🙂Debora from Italy – 13 January 2025 (10/10)

I like Elisa and her amazing communication and how thoughtful she was. The apartment was superb for our needs as a family.
What could be improved: If you do have young children or a pushchair be aware that this property is on the third floor.Lulliri from Italy – 18 November 2024 (10/10)
Posizione e struttura top❤️
What could be improved: Tutto perfettoAnita from Switzerland – 30 October 2024 (9/10)
Spacious, comfortable flat within easy walking to the tourist area of Verona, on several bus routes with a nearby friendly bar, a nice takeaway cafe and a local shop.
What could be improved: There was a slight problem gaining access but the owner appeared quickly and let us inJessica from United Kingdom – 8 September 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was clean, comfortable and convenient. Elisa, the host, made it exceptional! She was warm and welcoming, very helpful and a great support when our flight was cancelled and we needed to find somewhere else to stay!

The apartment has a smaller but well-equipped kitchen with an entrance to the terrace. Kitchen has a big fridge, oven and has all the utensils needed. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was freshly renovated. Also there is enough storage room in the bedrooms. The wifi works well also for the work-related stuff. Living room has comfy sofa bed as well.
