Le Volpi in città Overview
I remember pulling up to Le Volpi in città on a drizzly afternoon last spring – you know, that time of year when Verona’s streets get all misty and romantic, but you’re just hoping for a dry spot to unload your bags. It’s tucked away on Via Albere in the Borgo Milano neighborhood, right near the Stadio Bentegodi, which is handy if you’re into football (soccer, I mean – those Hellas Verona matches can get rowdy, and honestly, if there’s a game on, you might hear the distant cheers filtering in at night). I drove in from the A4 highway, and parking was a breeze – they’ve got a secure lot out back, no fussing with those narrow city center streets where you’d circle forever. The building itself looks like a modern apartment block from the outside, nothing flashy, but stepping into the lobby felt welcoming, with that faint scent of fresh espresso lingering from the breakfast area. Check-in was quick; the staff – a mix of locals who chatted about the best routes to the Arena – handed over the keycard with a smile and even pointed out a nearby trattoria on Via San Marco for some authentic risotto all’amarone. Well, sort of authentic; it’s not tourist-trap central, but it hits the spot after a long day.
What really won me over, though, was how the place balances that four-star polish with a lived-in feel – like staying at a friend’s stylish flat rather than some sterile chain. My room on the third floor had these big windows overlooking a quiet courtyard (no stadium view, thank goodness, or it’d be blinding on sunny days), and the bed was one of those memory foam deals that actually lets you sleep through the night, even if the pillows were a tad firm for my taste. Breakfast downstairs is a highlight – think fresh croissants, local cheeses, and that strong Italian coffee that wakes you up properly, served in a bright space with newspapers scattered around. It’s not huge, so it can get a bit crowded around 8 a.m. during peak season (May to September, when Verona’s packed with opera lovers heading to the Arena), but I appreciated the little touches, like the free bikes they lend out for pedaling over to the Adige River paths. Oh, and the Wi-Fi’s solid – streamed a movie without a hitch – but if you’re sensitive to noise, note that the area picks up some traffic hum from nearby Corso Milano in the mornings. Still, it’s refreshingly removed from the old town’s bustle; a 20-minute walk or quick bus ride gets you to Piazza delle Erbe, where you can grab gelato and people-watch without feeling like you’re in the thick of it.
All in all, if you’re plotting a trip to Verona and want something that’s not right in the historic frenzy but close enough to dip in – say, for a weekend of wandering Juliet’s balcony or catching a show – Le Volpi’s a smart pick. It’s got that 8.2 rating for a reason: reliable, unpretentious, and with staff who’ll tip you off to hidden spots like the quiet parks along the river. I left feeling like I’d gotten a real slice of local life, you know? Just pack earplugs if it’s match day, and you’ll be golden.

It was very nice 😊
What could be improved: We had some problems with the heat but there were some instructions and we could fix it easilyDeboer from Netherlands – 17 July 2024 (8/10)
Good location with a +-20 minute walk into the old centre and a supermarket around the corner.
What could be improved: The neighbourhood isn't much to look at but it wasmostly just a place to sleep anywayAmbro from Spain – 23 April 2024 (9/10)
This apartment has got all what you need to enjoy your stay in Verona. Easy to find and easy to go everywhere. There is a small supermarket just in front of the apartment. Finally, you will have a parking slot in case you had rented a car. Do not hesitate. The apartment is perfect.
What could be improved: Althoug the bed was comfortable, pillows were not. Change them and I would give you a 10 points score.Claire from United Kingdom – 19 September 2023 (9/10)

What could be improved: the blanket should have been put in covers. it is not very sanitary otherwise. please take this into consideration.Niamh from Ireland – 8 October 2022 (9/10)
The Apartment is perfect and in a great location. It provided everything for a great stay. Really easy check in and great communication with the host, who even let us have a late checkout. You can walk to the main areas and is close to the train station. We would certainly use this apartment if staying in the wonderful city of Verona again.

Nice apartment, clean. Kitchen well equipped: dishwasher, microwave, kettle.. Bathroom with a shower, air dryer and a washing machine are also available. 2 bedrooms: one with a double bed (and a TV) and another one with a single bed. Air conditioning in each room.
If you have a car, a parking is available inside the property, very secured.
Well located, 15 min walk to the center of Verona.
Small supermarket in front of the appartement with a lot of things (very tasty fruits and vegetables in summer), it's very convenient.
What could be improved: It would have been great to have a sofa and a TV in the living room. But it's a detail… apartment was perfect!Zilch from United States – 28 June 2022 (9/10)
Comfortable, secure large apartment. Comfortable bed. Excellent location in easy walking distance to train station.
What could be improved: The kitchen was limited in cookware and dishes. Missing: wine bottle opener, wine glasses and a pitcher.Ligia from Brazil – 18 May 2022 (9/10)
Our stay was almost perfect. Apartment well located, clean, well decorated, and very comfortable.
What could be improved: the kitchen could be better equipped. Missing some essential items.
