First Impressions

Walking up to Leoncino Suite on Via Leoncino, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked into one of Verona‘s most charming streets in the historical center, but without the tourist chaos you’d expect. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special. Honestly, the location alone had me sold before I even stepped inside.

The Heart of Verona

What I love about this spot is how genuinely central it is without feeling like you’re camping out in a tourist trap. You’re literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe — I mean, you can practically hear the morning market setting up. The narrow cobblestone streets around here are perfect for those evening strolls when the day-trippers have headed home and the locals reclaim their city. You know what’s great? You can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear the crowds.

The Suite Experience

The room itself feels more like a stylish Italian apartment than a typical hotel space. There’s this nice balance between modern comfort and historical character — exposed beams, but also really good air conditioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer). The kitchen area is surprisingly well-equipped if you want to grab some fresh ingredients from the market and play chef for a night. I actually ended up using it more than I expected, especially for morning coffee before heading out.

What Makes It Special

This four-star property really gets the details right in ways that matter. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward that little wine bar around the corner that doesn’t show up in guidebooks, or tell you which gelato place the locals actually prefer. The building stays quiet at night, which is honestly impressive given how central you are. There’s something about the whole setup that feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place than a commercial hotel. The attention to comfort and thoughtful service creates an atmosphere that guests consistently praise.

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s definitely a romantic vibe to the whole experience. The combination of privacy, location, and that intimate scale makes it feel special without being stuffy. You’re close enough to everything that matters in Verona, but you’ve got your own peaceful retreat to come back to. Plus, having that kitchen means you can start your day slowly with coffee and pastries from the local bakery, or wind down with a bottle of Amarone without worrying about restaurant hours.   The apartment is very comfortable and has all necessary amenities, plenty of closet space, plenty of space for the toiletries, and comfortable bed. The stuff is very kind and responsive.

  Great location. Close to many restaurants and the Arena. Comfy bed and good shower. It was nice to have extra space to watch tv and eat breakfast. Staff were easy to contact and very helpful.

  It’s light & airy, very clean & well-equipped. Good location being a short walk to see the Arena and plenty of shops & restaurants nearby. It felt safe, having 3 different key pads to enter.
  
  What could be improved: At first the entrance seemed a bit scary due to the unfamiliar type of entrance of huge, wide door (big enough for horse & carriage). However, you are met outside by staff and everything is explained.

  What could be improved: We missed our train booking because we weren’t able to get a taxi. Our host should’ve told us how to catch the bus which we eventually figured out on our own. Who knew you couldn’t get a taxi when it’s raining.

  This was possibly the nicest apartment we have ever stayed in. From the minute we arrived on Via Leoncino right in the heart of the historical centre of Verona, we fell in love with the area. The keyless check-in was absolutely seamless, and the apartment was bright, airy, cosy and spotlessly clean with all the facilities one could ever wish for. It had underfloor heating; individual thermostats in each room; heated towelrail; toiletries; a washing machine, iron and ironing board. We were hugely impressed with every aspect of our stay. Communication with our host was excellent throughout our stay, and we were provided with a list of recommended restaurants, coffee shops etc.
  
  What could be improved: We cannot think of a single thing we didn't like about the Leoncino Suite, and we could not recommend this property more highly. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and even though the property was located right in the heart of the historical centre of Verona, it was very quiet and peaceful.
