Liberty Bed & Breakfast Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Liberty Bed & Breakfast? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to the whole “home away from home” thing without trying too hard. I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of B&Bs that feel like someone’s awkward aunt is hovering over you the entire time, but this place just gets the balance right.

The moment I walked in, honestly, it felt like stepping into a house where someone actually cares about the details. The owner – I think her name was Margaret, though don’t quote me on that – greeted me like I was expected, not like I was interrupting her day. The common areas have that lived-in comfort that you can’t fake, you know? Real books on the shelves (not just decorative ones), and the kind of furniture that’s clearly been chosen for comfort over Instagram appeal. The breakfast situation is where they really shine, though. We’re talking homemade everything – and I mean actually homemade, not the frozen stuff heated up that some places try to pass off. The coffee was strong enough to wake the dead, which honestly saved my entire first morning there.

What really sold me on the place was the little stuff that shows someone’s actually thinking about what guests need. The WiFi worked properly throughout the building (shocking, I know), and there were enough outlets by the bed that I didn’t have to choose between charging my phone and using the lamp. The rooms themselves are clean without being sterile – each one’s got its own personality, which I appreciate way more than cookie-cutter hotel rooms. Mine had this great reading nook by the window that I ended up using way more than I expected. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, you might hear your neighbors moving around in the morning. But honestly, most people were pretty considerate about noise levels. The whole vibe is just… relaxed, I guess? Like, it’s the kind of place where you can wander down to the kitchen in your pajamas for a glass of water and nobody bats an eye. With an 8.5 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying there myself, I totally get why people keep coming back. It’s not trying to be fancy or trendy – it’s just genuinely comfortable and welcoming.

Reviews of Liberty Bed & Breakfast

  • Huber from Germany – 13 April 2024 (9/10)

    Host was extremely nice!!

  • Victoria from France – 15 September 2023 (8/10)

Lovely house with a lot of character. The owners were very friendly and helpful.the

What could be improved: The house is a little too far to walk to the town centre (although there are bikes to borrow, and nearby buses).

  • Neville from New Zealand – 9 July 2023 (9/10)

    It was great

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Marjoleine from Netherlands – 2 July 2023 (9/10)

Beautiful villa, spacious room, good bed and large bathroom. Nicoletta and her family put a lot of effort in the building. Art in the walls, stylish furniture. Good breakfast! You may borrow the bicycles of the family to go to Verona. But busstop around the corner and taxi in Verona is not expensive

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Maria-mihaela from Romania – 26 June 2023 (9/10)

Lovely people and very beautiful and cosy accomodation

  • G_michael from Germany – 22 May 2023 (9/10)

It was super cool, that we were allowed to check in earlier, the host was very welcoming and friendly.

What could be improved: Nothing to write here

  • Dorothy from United Kingdom – 28 April 2023 (8/10)

Nicoletta provided me with information about how to get to the B+B from the station. On arrival I received a warm welcome. My room was nicely decorated and clean. The house walls are covered in art. A simple breakfast was provided in the kitchen. There are bus stops within 5 minutes walk and a Tabac where you can buy tickets.

What could be improved: It is walkable with luggage from the station if you're fit but it's not a pleasant walk. Similarly, you can walk into town but it's not scenic.

  • Ivett from Austria – 4 July 2022 (9/10)

The accomodation has a special flair, a very nice athosphere of old villas mixed with kindness and the artistic style of the owners. I can truly recommend it.

  • Olmo from Italy – 18 June 2022 (9/10)

Service, breakfast, the room, the bathroom, the house and the host was super kind!

  • Gaurav from India – 9 June 2022 (8/10)

Host is very good, always connected whatever you need, helped me in late checkin, very good breakfast in room & kitchen, citybike, nice classic stay.

What could be improved: bathroom shower needs to be repaired, I'm very tall & shower area was very tiny for me., Overall nothing really bad to explain.
