The rooms aren’t luxurious—it’s a solid three-star, after all, with basic amenities like a mini-fridge that hummed a bit too loudly for my liking and a bathroom that’s clean but tight on space if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. But the air smells faintly of old stone and lavender from the courtyard plants, and there’s this textured authenticity you don’t get in chain hotels. Parking’s a nightmare in this pedestrian zone, mind you—best to leave your car at the Arsenale lot and walk the ten minutes over—but once you’re settled, everything’s on foot: the Arena for opera nights (book tickets early in July, it’s packed), or a quiet stroll along the river at dusk when the lights reflect off the water.

All in all, if you’re chasing that romantic Verona vibe without breaking the bank—scoring an 8.6 rating for a reason, I’d say—this spot’s a gem. It’s not perfect; the breakfast is simple (think continental spreads with yogurt and pastries, nothing to write home about), and it can get a tad stuffy in August without strong AC. But honestly, for history buffs or couples wanting to feel like they’ve time-traveled, it’s worth it. I left feeling like I’d uncovered a piece of the real Verona, the kind that lingers long after you’ve packed up.

  I really liked the location of the apartments, all attractions are 10 minutes' walk away. The apartment was clean, cozy, warm, there was coffee and tea, and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
