You know what struck me first about Lords of Verona Luxury Apartments? The name sounds almost theatrical – which honestly fits perfectly once you’re actually walking around Verona. I mean, this is Shakespeare country, so why not lean into the drama a bit? These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms either. We’re talking proper apartments here, the kind where you can actually spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage.

The 4-star rating feels about right, but that 9.4 guest score? That’s what caught my attention initially, and I get it now. There’s something refreshing about having a full kitchen when you’re traveling – especially in Italy where you’ll inevitably end up at some incredible local market wanting to cook with those gorgeous tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. The apartments have this lived-in elegance that doesn’t feel stuffy or overly precious. You can put your feet up on the furniture without worrying about some hidden cleaning fee, if you know what I mean.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Veronese character without sacrificing modern comfort. The bathrooms actually have decent water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’ve been walking around those ancient streets all day), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear every time more than two people try to use it. The beds are properly comfortable too – not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you counting ceiling tiles at 3 AM. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back in the evenings, which says something. Usually I’m the type who uses hotel rooms purely for sleeping and showering, but having that extra space changes how you experience a city. You can grab some wine from a local enoteca, maybe some antipasti, and have a proper evening in without feeling like you’re eating dinner on your bed. It’s those little touches that bump a good stay into something you’d actually recommend to people you like.

  what a spectacular hotel – kind/attentive staff, beautiful interiors, great spacious rooms, not to mention a fantastic location. It was an absolute delight to have stayed here at LoV.
