Here’s what I love about the location — you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear tour groups chattering outside your window at 7 AM. The piazza itself is this lovely little square where locals actually hang out, not just tourists taking selfies. I watched an elderly gentleman feed pigeons there every morning during my stay, and there’s something so authentically Veronese about that scene. The opera season at Arena di Verona is just a pleasant stroll away, and honestly, walking back through these medieval streets after a performance feels pretty magical.

The Room Experience

My room had this wonderful mix of period details and modern comfort that actually works — no small feat in a historic building like this. The ceilings are high with original beams, and the windows open onto views of terracotta rooftops and church spires. What surprised me was how quiet everything was, considering you’re in the center of town. The staff here genuinely seems to care about your experience, offering recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward this tiny osteria around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in the city.
