Juliet’s balcony is maybe a five-minute walk, the Arena di Verona is practically around the corner, and honestly, you can wander to most of the major sights without breaking a sweat. What really surprised me was the free private parking — in a city center location like this, that’s almost unheard of and saves you both money and the headache of hunting for a spot.

The Rooms and Comfort

The accommodations at Maison de Amelie strike that perfect balance between historic character and modern comfort. My room had original architectural details — think exposed beams and stone accents — but the amenities were thoroughly updated. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in boutique properties), and the bathrooms, while compact, are well-designed and spotless. Some rooms overlook the piazza, which means you get a bit of street life during the day but things quiet down nicely in the evenings.

  Lydie, the host, met us at the apartment and provided useful hints about places to eat. Clean, comfortable beds and good bathroom and shower, parking on private space available and silent place. Everything as expected.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing that affected the stay. Only a suggestion for improvement – we could find only 1 dish cloth, which makes difference when you stay longer. It would be perfect if there was a microwave oven and a coffee machine.

  Great location, close to the train/ bus station. Short walk to the main square. Accommodation very clean, with everything you will need. Lydie was very friendly and incredibly helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

  Location is great! you can walk to anywhere!
  Many restaurants around, the gelato shop Lydia recommended was super delicious (might be the best of our whole Italy trip!)

  It was well appointed, very comfortable, well located, and Lydie was a wonderful host with tips on shopping inc for food and where to eat. We had a couple of problems we needed to sort out (nothing to do with the property) and she found the right people to help us resolve those.

  Had a lovely stay. Nice apartment for my family of 4. Beds very comfortable. Very clean Nice and close to bus stop and short walk to train station. Great for having a day trip to Venice travel by train. Bus around Verona easy short ride. Host provided helpful recommendations for getting around Verona, dining, supermarket locations etc. I would definitely book again at Maison de Amelie.
