What struck me first was how Casa Stella feels more like staying at a friend’s well-organized apartment than a typical hotel. The rooms are numbered simply (hence the name, I guess), but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about the whole setup. Each space has its own personality – room 1 tends to get the morning light beautifully, while room 3 is quieter if you’re the type who values a good night’s sleep over sunrise views. The owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter to travelers, like having proper reading lights (not those useless bedside things that illuminate nothing) and enough outlets where you actually need them.

I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but honestly? The 7.6 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in. Everything just works – the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear at crucial moments, the shower has decent water pressure, and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d wrestled with the mattress all night. There’s this lived-in quality that makes you feel relaxed rather than worried about disturbing some pristine hotel aesthetic. The check-in process was refreshingly human too – actual conversation instead of robotic efficiency, which I appreciated after a long travel day. One small thing that caught my attention was how quiet it gets at night, which isn’t always a given at this price point. You might hear the occasional footstep from other guests, but it’s the kind of building where people seem to naturally respect each other’s space. If you’re someone who needs blackout curtains and complete silence, you’ll probably sleep just fine here.

  What could be improved: The hotel is somewhat of a distance from the city centre (I should have looked into the location more when booking). I also did not meet the owner or receptionist at all during my stay which I found odd but not really a big issue… I just like to have a chat.

  The accommodation is nicely decorated with pictures, books and interesting details. The bathroom is separate and of excellent size, the shower cabin is very comfortable. The common area is nicely furnished. There is free public parking in front of the building. The center and the bus station can be reached on foot.

  Friendly, helpful staff. I never saw anyone personally but all the instructions are clear. It's only a thirty-five minute walk to the Arena, it was nice not to have to drive or take the bus to the center.

  Very clean and comfortable, our room had a separate balcony, the shared kitchen and saloon were perfect for preparing breakfast (kitchen very well equipped). Contact with the hosts was easy, as we received a whatsapp message upon our arrival, with the the instructions on how to enter the apartment. The bus stop is literally in front of the building, in a very calm area.
