Marconi Rooms Alloggio Segreto Overview

You know what struck me first about Marconi Rooms Alloggio Segreto? The name itself – “secret accommodation” – and honestly, it lives up to that mysterious vibe. This isn’t your typical hotel where everything’s spelled out for you in glossy brochures. It’s more like stumbling upon a hidden gem that locals might know about but tourists usually walk right past.

The whole place has this intimate, almost residential feel that I really wasn’t expecting from a 3-star property. When I walked in, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s carefully curated home. The rooms have character – and I mean actual character, not that fake “boutique” personality that chains try to manufacture. There’s attention to detail in the way everything’s arranged, from the lighting to the little touches that make you feel like you’re somewhere special rather than just another stop on your itinerary. The 7.7 rating actually makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does, it does really well.

What I appreciated most was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about your experience rather than just going through the motions. They’re the kind of people who remember your name and actually mean it when they ask how your day was. The building itself has this quiet sophistication – you’re not dealing with crowds or that generic hotel lobby buzz that can get exhausting after a while. I mean, if you’re looking for a massive pool and room service menu, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want somewhere that feels authentic and unhurried, where you can actually decompress without feeling like you’re in a tourist bubble, then yeah, this works. It’s the kind of spot where you end up staying longer than planned because leaving feels like abandoning a good conversation halfway through.

Exploring Verona offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Italy’s city of love, from its ancient Roman ruins to its Renaissance palaces and world-renowned romantic literature connections.

Reviews of Marconi Rooms Alloggio Segreto

  • Sevgi from United Kingdom – 5 April 2025 (8/10)

It’s centrally located, very easy to get around. Convenient for families who have a toddler. Would recommend it to anyone 👍

  • Lora from United States – 2 March 2025 (8/10)

The apartment was centrally located and very convenient to walk to the main sights. It was also clean and the double bed was very comfortable.

What could be improved: The twin bed was not comfortable and my sister barely slept. It was also hard to get a hold of the staff, but when I finally did they were very helpful.

  • Filip from Serbia – 1 February 2025 (9/10)

Everything was alright, just during the winter I prefer more hotter rooms once we arrived

  • Noelia from Argentina – 11 November 2024 (8/10)

Best bed and pillows ever. Great location, near to center and walkable distance from train station. They let you leave your bagage for free in their office nearby

What could be improved: We have to wait till they open the door because they didn't answer the phone inmediatly, but it wasn't more than 20 minutes. The room is a little noisy but if you go there just to sleep for a couple of nights is not that big deal.

  • Vassilis from Greece – 28 July 2024 (9/10)

The host was extremely friendly and helpful, even before we arrived at Verona. Location was excellent just 300m from the Verona Arena.

    What could be improved: –

  • Amy from United States – 27 July 2024 (9/10)

    Clean, contemporary design, comfortable

What could be improved: The WiFi is not working all the time.

  • Maja from Croatia – 28 June 2024 (9/10)

    The location was amazing

What could be improved: The noise from the group above us they were very loud, but it is not the fault of the host

  • Louise from United Kingdom – 26 May 2024 (8/10)

Lovely accommodation. Not far from Arena. cost €11.90 in a taxi from station to check in as we didn’t know where we were going.
Apartment was on 3rd floor but climb was ok.
Beds were very comfortable, great kitchen facilities. Shower was small but very powerful.
Great communication with any problems and how to get to property ( it’s on a different street to check in).

What could be improved: Floors a bit on a slope so set my vertigo off, but to be expected in old buildings!
Toilet flush wasn’t working so bit of an issue but we didn’t know until bedtime as we’d been out all eve.
Cleaners knew the next morning and were going to sort it it. we only stayed one night.
Ceiling was sloped so not great if you are over 5’5 in some areas of lounge.

  • Jo from United Kingdom – 13 April 2024 (8/10)

Location was excellent, price was good

What could be improved: 3rd floor no lift, but we knew when booking could be difficult for others

  • Emanuela from Italy – 26 June 2023 (8/10)

perfect location and very nice comfortable Apartament
