You know what caught me off guard about Melibi – Re Lear Apartments? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow ends up being exactly what you need. I mean, when you’re looking at a 3-star property, you’re not expecting miracles – but this place actually delivers something better than fancy marble floors: it just works.

The apartment-style setup is honestly perfect if you’re tired of cramped hotel rooms where you can barely open your suitcase without hitting the bed. Here, you’ve got actual space to spread out, and the kitchenette isn’t just for show (though don’t expect gourmet cooking – it’s more like “heat up your leftovers and make decent coffee” territory). What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even when the building seems full. The walls are thick enough that you’re not listening to your neighbor’s phone conversations at 11 PM, which – let’s be real – is becoming rare these days.

The staff runs a tight ship without being stuffy about it. Check-in was smooth, and when I had a minor issue with the TV remote (these things happen), they sorted it out within an hour. That 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not because everything is perfect, but because the things that matter most are done right. The cleaning is thorough, the beds are actually comfortable (not those rock-hard mattresses some places pass off as “firm support”), and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every time someone uses the microwave. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier places that couldn’t nail these basics. Sure, you won’t find a concierge in a tailored suit or a rooftop pool with Instagram-worthy views, but you will find yourself sleeping well and starting your day without any of those little irritations that can derail a trip. Sometimes that’s worth more than all the bells and whistles.

  I really liked the hotel, the location close to train station, arena, markets, restaurants… the apartment is huge, good for 4 people with ease, comfortable beds, shower, ample dining room, good internet access. The apartment looked new and very well maintened. The cooking equipments were ok, we did use them well. The communication with our host was good, everything was explained with details and check in and check out was easy. Also, we had the chance to leave our luggage at the host's office for the day, which was very useful for us.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing at all. Maybe the floor wasn't totally clean but this is a very small detail.

  Not far from train station. Supermarket across the street. Great pizza place around the corner. Beds a little dated but cozy. Plenty of room for us as a family of 6.

  Excellent apt a few minutes walk from the centre of Verona, with a small supermarket directly opposite. Basis essentials such as coffee, sugar etc had also been left in the apt. In particular the managing agent of the apt was very helpful, ensuring that some items we had left behind were forwarded to our next Italian stop. Great communication.

  It’s in a quaint area. Nice property. Clean direction to apartment. Grocery store right in front. You need to pay everywhere for parking but it was easy to find at this place.
