mirko apartment Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to mirko apartment – honestly, the name is pretty understated and doesn’t exactly scream luxury. But sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard, and this little gem really surprised me. It’s got that authentic, lived-in feel that you just can’t fake, the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sterile hotel chain.
The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward – think clean lines, comfortable furniture that’s actually meant to be used, and none of that fussy decorative nonsense that looks good in photos but makes you afraid to touch anything. I mean, it’s a solid 3-star place, so don’t go in expecting marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but honestly? The 8.2 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in. The apartment itself has this nice balance of being properly equipped without feeling cluttered – there’s actually decent kitchen space if you want to grab some local groceries and cook (which I definitely recommend, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights), and the Wi-Fi was reliable enough for video calls, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed.
What really won me over was how the whole experience just… worked. Check-in was smooth – no weird complications or surprise fees – and the place was genuinely clean in that deep-clean way, not just surface tidy. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that hotel-bed backache, and the shower had proper water pressure, which honestly feels like winning the lottery sometimes when you’re traveling. There’s something to be said for a place that nails all the basics without trying to distract you with flashy extras. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with Instagram-worthy amenities, but if you’re looking for a solid, honest place to stay that won’t drain your travel budget, mirko apartment delivers exactly what it promises. The kind of spot where you can actually relax and feel settled, even if you’re just passing through for a few days.

Reviews of mirko apartment
Joelle from United Kingdom – 4 April 2025 (6/10)
+ spacious and comfortable
+ great location, only 10 minutes walk from the centre with a few little cafes / shops nearby. Other than the neighbour's TV, it was a quiet area.
+ good facilities, lovely bathroom & comfortable beds
+ check in process was fairly smooth, googled about the need to provide passport details – apparently that’s a requirement in Italy!
What could be improved: – there is a neighbour who watches TV both late into the night and early in the morning. We weren't sure if it was poor sound insulation or the volume was very loud, either way you could hear it word for word. If you’re a heavy sleeper, then this apartment is perfect but unfortunately we are not so this did spoil our stay.
– an airer for drying clothes would be handy.
– it is a bit dark during the day, it would be nice if you could roll up the blinds in the lounge
– the 2nd room & lounge didn’t have any lamps, I’m not a fan of sitting with the big light on!
– maybe a booklet of general advice / instructions would be handy on things like using the washing machine, things nearby etcRicardo from United States – 14 November 2024 (9/10)

The apartment boasts ample space and pristine cleanliness. The linens and towels gleam in sparkling white, while the beds and pillows offer exceptional comfort. The owner provided us with a card to park in the paid zone (we couldn't find a place nearby so we did not use it) At a glance, it appears to have everything one could desire, yet..
What could be improved: … Yet our stay was marred by numerous small inconveniences that made our visit a bit uncomfortable.
The check-in process: On the day of our arrival, despite having the address and the owner's phone number, we lacked information on accessing the property. In the morning, we reached out via both Booking and WhatsApp for guidance. Hours later, nearly at check-in time, we received a message that we hadn't completed the online check-in. We would have gladly done so earlier had we been provided with a link in advance. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience.
Upon entering the apartment after this ordeal, we found it aesthetically pleasing, with a modern touch. However, except for a small corridor, the lighting was insufficient, and noise from neighboring TVs was pervasive.
We were traveling light and specifically sought out accommodations with laundry facilities, we were disappointed to find no laundry detergent was provided. While the kitchen was well-equipped, we suggest the following improvements for future guests:
– Providing at least a small amount of coffee for the first morning.
– Stocking essential items such as olive oil, kitchen soap and paper, laundry detergent, sponge to wash the coffee cups so I don’t need to use the washing machine for 4 coffee cups.
– Two small bottles (35ml) of shower gel and 2 rolls of toilet paper were inadequate for 4 adults staying 2 nights, especially considering the absence of additional toiletry supplies.
(We left behind coffee, olive oil, and dry shampoo for the next guests.)
The bathroom was poorly lit, with most of the lighting fixtures not functioning. The shower cabin leaked water, and there was no mop provided to address the issue, leaving us to walk on wet floors until they dried on their own. The shower tap was difficult to manipulate, requiring significant effort to turn the shower on and off, particularly for female guests so I had to do it every time they need, which was humiliating for…Irmeen from Canada – 21 August 2023 (8/10)
Loved the location. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. The table was beautiful. The apartment was very spacious and clean. There were pots and pans to cook with and in general, we had a very nice stay.
What could be improved: Some minor changes would make this apartment perfect: 1) more coffee pods available for longer stays ( we weren’t able to easily find pods that would fit the machine at the nearby supermarket so having access to more pods would have been nice!) 2) the lighting could be better – it was a little dark in the main room and we would have loved some bedside lamps; 3) the light above the mirror in the bathroom wasn’t working so bathroom was a little dark; 4) maybe some fans in the bedrooms as the AC was only in the main room so if you shut the door, the rooms were quite hot.
Again, all of this is reasonably minor. In general, we had a very comfortable stay!Romina from Ireland – 3 July 2023 (9/10)
The owner met us in the apartment and gave us the keys.
The apartment is absolutely gorgeous, no more than that to say.
It is HUGE, beautiful, modern, clean, they were waiting for us with bottled cold water which is much appreciated in the summer, plus teas, coffee, cookies. Small details that improve the experience (even though the apartment is amazing)
What could be improved: There is a painting in one of the bedrooms that may be offensive for some people.
It is the only tiny thing we would maybe reconsider.
Totally recommend this apartment!Vasiliki from Greece – 6 May 2023 (9/10)
amazing house in perfect location. The hostess was the nicest guy I met in Italy
What could be improved: nothing!
