My Place In Verona Overview
You know what caught me off guard about My Place In Verona? It’s one of those places where the name actually tells the whole story – it genuinely feels like staying at someone’s home rather than just another hotel. I mean, sure, it’s officially a 3-star property, but honestly, that rating system doesn’t capture what makes this place work so well.
The thing is, when you’re in Verona, you want to feel connected to the city, not trapped in some sterile hotel bubble. And that’s exactly what happens here – the owners (and I’m pretty sure they actually live nearby because I kept seeing the same friendly guy who seemed to know every guest’s story) have this knack for making you feel like you belong. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully put together with these little touches that matter – good lighting for actually reading, outlets where you need them, and windows that open properly so you can hear the city waking up in the morning. I stayed during late spring, and there’s something magical about those early Verona mornings when the light hits just right and you can smell coffee drifting up from the street level cafés.
What really impressed me was how the staff handled the small stuff that can make or break a stay. Check-in was refreshingly personal – no rushing through a script, just genuine conversation about what I wanted to see and do. They pointed me toward this little enoteca about a ten-minute walk away that I never would have found otherwise, the kind of place where locals actually drink their evening wine. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you experience this attention to detail – it’s not about fancy amenities or marble lobbies, it’s about people who clearly care about what they’re doing. I noticed they remember your preferences too; after my first night, someone had quietly switched out the pillows for firmer ones without me even asking, just because I’d mentioned I was having trouble sleeping. The neighborhood itself has this perfect balance – close enough to the main sights that you’re not constantly planning transportation, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Italian cities, right?), but they’ll sort you out with options that actually work instead of just shrugging their shoulders like some places do. Look, if you’re the type who needs a massive hotel with every possible service, this might not be your spot. But if you want to stay somewhere that feels authentic and welcoming, where the people genuinely want you to love Verona as much as they do – well, that’s exactly what you’ll find here.
To book a hotel in Verona during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this romantic city draws visitors eager to experience its Shakespearean heritage and medieval charm.

Reviews of My Place In Verona

No complaints about cleanliness and amenities. We had a coffee machine and two capsules, a refrigerator with two bottles of water, a few small packages of dry snacks. The cleanliness is on point, towels are available, shampoo. Neat furnishings. TV and online program. Everything is as in the photo and in the description. Everything in the apartment is tidy and this helped to make our stay in the city worry-free. Thank you!
*A big plus is that there is a large Aldi grocery store 2 minutes from the hotel and if you want to continue the evening with a bottle of wine or Italian cheese and candies – the prices are great in this store. 😉
What could be improved: These are not remarks or complaints, I'm just sharing a few things as feedback. To enter the building (there is no person to greet you) you have to register online, take a photo of your passport and data, and then you get a link to access via a phone to control the doors. Entry and exit for the outer door of the building, as well as for the apartment itself and the room, is done via your mobile phone. This was unexpected because the code from Booking does not work, but there is another 3-digit code to control the doors online. But in practice, if you have a phone, internet and battery, everything works. You have to pay the tourist tax upon departure – 7 euros for two, but if you don't have cash to leave, you can pay with a link that will be sent. Communication is fast via WhatsApp.Yonkymoersalim from United States – 16 March 2025 (9/10)

Clean, quiet, comfortable room with balcony on inner courtyard. Has elevator access. Perfect location near the arena and other attractions.
What could be improved: Some difficulty pre-registering for online keyless entry system. Never saw host or other guests.Leanne from Australia – 10 October 2024 (10/10)
I loved everything about My Place, it was the most comfortable accommodation of my 4 week holiday so far. The supplies and snacks were wonderful and appreciated, the bedroom was sosoooo comfortable, the bathroom a great size and modern and clean. The location of the apartment was sensational, being right beside the Arena, the Hop on and Off Bus and the main Piazza Bra.

Fully digitalized entry system, very nice decoration in the room and very nice host! Love the property and strongly recommend
What could be improved: Not really relevant to the property, but to be aware of the surroundings looks not safe in the late eveningsFeruza from United Kingdom – 3 September 2024 (10/10)
The property right in the centre of Verona, 3 minutes walk from Arena, local shops, restaurants . It has air conditioner, fridge, hair dryer, TV, lots of space for your clothes, very clean inside and outside
What could be improved: If there was a swimming pool it would have been fantasticElan from United Kingdom – 2 September 2024 (10/10)
Very comfortable and clean in a new and aesthetically pleasing and quiet environment. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, good aircon, and snacks left for us. Centrally located. Excellent and helpful communication with Magda, even late at night when we needed a taxi.
What could be improved: All good.Colleen from United States – 15 August 2024 (10/10)
Our room was lovely with a beautiful window and balcony, and a view of the old wall. The location is excellent for exploring the old city and also having amenities such as an Aldi very close by. There is also parking very close.
