‘Na Chicca A Verona Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about ‘Na Chicca A Verona, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But after spending a few nights there, I get it now. This 4-star gem sits right in the heart of Verona, and honestly, the 9.3 rating it’s pulling isn’t just lucky reviews from overly enthusiastic tourists. The place actually delivers.

What struck me first was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their city – not just the obvious tourist spots everyone hits, but the kind of local intel that makes a difference. You know what I mean? Like when the front desk guy casually mentioned that the little osteria around the corner serves the best risotto all’Amarone in town, and he was absolutely right. The rooms themselves have this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard – clean lines, comfortable beds that you actually want to sleep in, and bathrooms where everything works properly (which, let’s face it, isn’t always a given even in nice hotels). I stayed on the third floor and barely heard any street noise, which was a pleasant surprise given how lively the centro storico can get, especially during the opera season.

The thing that really won me over, though, was the attention to small details that most places either miss or fake. Fresh flowers in the lobby that were actually fresh, not those sad artificial arrangements. Coffee at breakfast that tasted like they gave a damn about where they sourced it. And the location – well, you’re close enough to walk to Juliet’s balcony if that’s your thing (though honestly, skip the crowds and head to Piazza delle Erbe in the early morning instead). What I loved was being able to stroll to some of Verona’s best wine bars without needing to figure out parking or navigate narrow medieval streets in a rental car. The staff also seemed to understand that not everyone wants the full concierge experience – sometimes you just want solid recommendations delivered without the sales pitch. During my stay, they helped me snag last-minute tickets to an opera performance at the Arena, but they also respected when I just wanted to grab my key and head upstairs after a long day of wandering around the Roman ruins. It’s that balance between being helpful and not hovering that makes ‘Na Chicca feel more like staying with knowledgeable friends than just another hotel transaction.

Apartments in Verona provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Italian markets and experience daily life in historic Renaissance neighborhoods.

Reviews of ‘Na Chicca A Verona

  • Lydia from New Zealand – 22 July 2024 (9/10)

Fairly convenient to Verona and good value for money. It was nice and clean and had a comfy couch/dining space to relax in. Fresh and modern decor.

What could be improved: The front of one of the drawers fell off instantly when we opened it, we let the host know and put it to the side for the rest of the stay. We were asked not to use the air conditioning for too long or at night because of the neighbours, but there is no fan so it is very hot in summer without air conditioning. The neighbours underneath us were very loud one night until late (but not the fault of the property/host and it was only one of the 5 days we stayed).
