With an 8.3 rating, there’s clearly something they’re doing right, and after spending a few nights there, I can tell you exactly what that is.

The thing that struck me most about this place is how genuinely comfortable it feels – not in that over-designed, trying-too-hard way that some boutique places go for, but actually comfortable. The rooms have this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment rather than a sterile hotel box. I mean, the furnishings aren’t going to win any design awards, but everything works perfectly and there’s real attention to the details that matter – like proper reading lights (thank god), decent water pressure, and windows that actually open if you want fresh air. The bed was honestly one of the better hotel beds I’ve encountered in this price range, which is saying something because I’m pretty picky about that stuff.

What really sets Olimpia House apart though is the atmosphere – it’s got this relaxed, almost residential vibe that’s pretty rare to find. You’ll notice it right from check-in, which feels more like being welcomed into someone’s home than processed through a hotel system. The staff actually seem to care about whether you’re enjoying your stay, not just whether you’ve paid your bill. I had this great conversation with one of the front desk people about local restaurants (they steered me away from a tourist trap I was about to walk into), and they genuinely seemed invested in making sure I had a good time. It’s that kind of personal touch that bumps a decent place up into the “I’d definitely stay here again” category. Sure, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or a rooftop infinity pool, but honestly? Sometimes what you really want is just a place that feels authentic and welcoming, where you can actually relax instead of feeling like you’re performing the role of “hotel guest.” That 8.3 rating isn’t an accident – this place just gets the basics really, really right.

  What could be improved: A bit far from the city centre. But the bus is really close by – but doesn't run very late at night.

  Landlady who met us at the apartment and provided tea & croissants as we got wet walking front m the train station! Lovely room with very comfortable bed. Super bathroom with large shower.

  What could be improved: We enjoyed much better locations at this price level but Verona is a high price destination. Nevertheless the place needs a beefing up to match this price category

  Very nice host to this airbnb like accomodation. Room felt private even if the apartment had other guests. Clean, good a/c (which was a godsend in July). Definitely recommended if travelling on a budget and don't mind long walks.

  The host was qite friendly and the room was quiet. There is air condition in the room, which is petfect for such hot summer.
  
  What could be improved: The pity thing is that we could not use kitchen. Kitchen is only available for guests who book both two rooms/ the whole aparment.

  This is a very comfy and clean and airconditioned room in a good location when traveling by car (free parking). The room has a very good shower! There is a coffee machine available in the living room/kitchen area of the apartment. Guests are allowed to use the fridge when needed. It's a 20-ish minute walk to the city center and there is a bus stop close by. Upon arrival the apartment was a bit hard to find (it's the gate right next to Nilla Café). After we were spotted, the keys were handed over and the apartment was presented. It's a quiet location and there are shops and restaurants in the area.
  
  What could be improved: I would just update the address information on booking so it's easier to find. It seems to be missing the building number.
