Olimpia House room Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Olimpia House room, you immediately get the sense this is someone’s carefully curated home rather than a typical hotel. It’s tucked away on Via Vincenzo Cabianca in the Borgo Milano district, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Veronese. The three-star rating might not scream glamour, but there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right. What really caught my attention was how quiet it felt despite being in a city, and the fact that parking is completely free here is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving through northern Italy.

The Borgo Milano Experience

The neighborhood itself is where locals actually live and work, not just where tourists pass through. You’re close enough to Verona’s famous stadium that you can walk there easily, but far enough from the historic center that you escape the crowds and inflated prices. I mean, this is where you’ll find that perfect little osteria that doesn’t have an English menu — in the best possible way. The area has good bus connections if you want to explore the old town, but honestly, I found myself enjoying just wandering around this more residential side of the city. There’s a realness here that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist zone.

The Room and Comfort

The accommodation itself strikes that sweet spot between homey and professional. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — no marble bathrooms or designer furniture — but everything works well and feels thoughtfully arranged. The room has that lived-in comfort that makes you want to actually relax rather than just crash for the night. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to practical details, like having enough outlets where you need them and decent lighting for reading. It’s clear someone who actually travels designed this space, because all those little annoyances you usually deal with just aren’t there.

Practical Perks

That free parking situation really can’t be overstated — in most Italian cities, you’re looking at 20-30 euros a day just to park, assuming you can find a spot. Here, it’s sorted, and you don’t have to stress about moving your car or feeding meters. The whole setup feels designed for people who are actually exploring the Veneto region by car, maybe hitting up some wineries in Valpolicella or day-tripping to Lake Garda. It’s the kind of place where you can come and go as you please without the usual urban parking drama.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Verona, but it delivers exactly what it promises with genuine warmth. Couples particularly seem to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of having discovered something a bit off the beaten path. There’s something to be said for staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood gem than a tourist accommodation. You’ll leave knowing a different side of Verona, and honestly, that’s worth more than any fancy amenity.

Verona hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its romantic atmosphere, Roman architecture, and world-class opera performances.

Reviews of Olimpia House room

  • Emelie from Sweden – 14 July 2024 (9/10)

Lovely and helpful owner. Clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: A bit far from the city centre. But the bus is really close by – but doesn't run very late at night.

  • Boris from United States – 22 June 2024 (9/10)

Very comfortable place. Clean and nice. Good location in the quiet neighborhood. Free street parking.

  • Calchan from Switzerland – 21 June 2024 (9/10)

The host is very nice, she even offer to pick me up at the train station and drove me to the site.

  • Sharon from United Kingdom – 28 May 2024 (8/10)

Landlady who met us at the apartment and provided tea & croissants as we got wet walking front m the train station! Lovely room with very comfortable bed. Super bathroom with large shower.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Aleksandra from Russia – 30 September 2023 (8/10)

Nice room, comfortable bed, enough space for a couple
it was ideal for our short weekend in Verona

  • Daniel from Switzerland – 26 September 2023 (7/10)

Room was ready reception was friendly and restaurant tipp was very good.

What could be improved: We enjoyed much better locations at this price level but Verona is a high price destination. Nevertheless the place needs a beefing up to match this price category

  • Jacob from Sweden – 25 August 2023 (8/10)

Very nice host to this airbnb like accomodation. Room felt private even if the apartment had other guests. Clean, good a/c (which was a godsend in July). Definitely recommended if travelling on a budget and don't mind long walks.

What could be improved: Barely walkable from old town, there are busses though.

  • Courtney from Canada – 12 August 2023 (9/10)

The host was super nice and the room was great! We were sad to leave and would definitely stay again.

  • Judy from Finland – 2 August 2023 (8/10)

The host was qite friendly and the room was quiet. There is air condition in the room, which is petfect for such hot summer.

What could be improved: The pity thing is that we could not use kitchen. Kitchen is only available for guests who book both two rooms/ the whole aparment.

  • Dennis from Netherlands – 18 September 2022 (8/10)

This is a very comfy and clean and airconditioned room in a good location when traveling by car (free parking). The room has a very good shower! There is a coffee machine available in the living room/kitchen area of the apartment. Guests are allowed to use the fridge when needed. It's a 20-ish minute walk to the city center and there is a bus stop close by. Upon arrival the apartment was a bit hard to find (it's the gate right next to Nilla Café). After we were spotted, the keys were handed over and the apartment was presented. It's a quiet location and there are shops and restaurants in the area.

What could be improved: I would just update the address information on booking so it's easier to find. It seems to be missing the building number.
