Orti Manara Design Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking down Via Orti Manara, you’d almost miss Orti Manara Design Apartments if you weren’t looking for it — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This four-star property sits quietly in Verona‘s historical center, tucked away on a street that feels authentically local rather than touristy. The entrance is understated but elegant, with clean lines and modern touches that hint at what’s waiting inside. You know what struck me most? How the building manages to feel both contemporary and respectful of its historic surroundings.
Location Magic
I mean, you really can’t get more central than this — the location score of 9.9 isn’t just marketing fluff. You’re literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe, and I could hear the morning market vendors setting up from my window. The narrow cobblestone streets around here are exactly what you picture when you think of medieval Italy, but without the overwhelming crowds you’ll find near the Arena. Couples especially seem to love wandering these quiet lanes in the evening (they rate the location 9.8 for romantic trips, which makes total sense). The real heart of Verona isn’t just a phrase here — you’re actually living in it.
The Space Itself
Each apartment feels more like a carefully curated design showcase than typical hotel accommodation. The interiors blend modern Italian design with thoughtful functionality — think sleek furniture, quality materials, and those little details that make you want to redecorate your own place when you get home. The kitchen setup is particularly well done, with everything you’d actually need if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local market. What I appreciated most was how spacious everything felt, even though you’re in the dense historical center where every square meter is precious.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here have this lovely rhythm — you can step out for espresso at the corner bar (locals actually drink there, which is always a good sign), then wander through the market stalls picking up whatever catches your eye. The soundproofing is excellent, so despite being in the city center, nights are surprisingly peaceful. I found myself just sitting by the window in the evening, watching residents go about their daily routines in the apartments across the narrow street. It’s that perfect balance of being immersed in local life without feeling like you’re intruding on it.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.5 rating really reflects what this place does best — it gives you an authentic Verona experience without sacrificing comfort or style. You’re not staying in a hotel that could be anywhere in the world; you’re living temporarily in one of Italy’s most romantic cities, in a space that feels both special and genuinely livable. The design-forward approach means everything looks Instagram-worthy, but more importantly, it all functions beautifully for actual travelers who want to settle in and explore at their own pace. It’s the kind of place that makes you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.
Exploring Verona offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Italy’s city of love, from its ancient Roman ruins to its Renaissance palaces and world-renowned romantic literature connections.

Absolutely loved this modern apartment, we would 100% stay here again.
There are so many thoughtful extras in the apartment – treats on the table, champagne in the fridge, slippers on the bed, bathroom accessories, games and more.
The apartment has absolutely everything you can think of.

Excellent modern apartment
Hosts extremely helpful, and knowledgeable around all things both within local area, and also suggestions of travel from Verona
Very nice touches within apartment upon arrival, leaving welcome snacks and drinks, host met us when arriving, and shown us around the apartment so that we knew everything there was to know.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and 100% would return.
Nothing appeared too much when messaging, and was always on hand to return a prompt replyPaul from United Kingdom – 23 December 2024 (10/10)
Great apartment in the centre of beautiful Verona. Well appointed and lots of space. Would highly recommend for a weekend stay or longer. We had 4 days and did a trip to Padova and Venice on the train.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike.Laura from United Kingdom – 21 December 2024 (10/10)
Everything absolutely stunning, high quality finish and very stylish. Had everything you needed and even gave us a welcome gift
What could be improved: The WiFi didn’t work for one night so we couldn’t watch tv but the host rectified it the next dayJane from Ireland – 6 December 2024 (8/10)
Great apartment in a great location. Very stylish and clean. Just around the corner from the arena. Superb location. Very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom and shower. Would recommend the apartment itself.
What could be improved: Received a number of messages in the 2 weeks before our arrival to organise a time to meet at apartment on day of arrival. We were travelling so didn't have a definite time in mind a week in advance. An automatic check in would be better, and more relaxing. Also, when the guy met us at the apartment, he offered to help with anything we needed. We contacted the agency the day before our departure to ask if they could book a taxi for us the next morning as we had an early flight. Thought this would be a simple request, but received a message saying they wouldn't do it as we needed a taxi for a private reason…I didn't really understand the problem. They sent a link to local app, but it didn't go to airport! only train station and a few other places. There was a taxi number left in apartment but it was in Italian so difficult to book! So it caused a bit of unnecessary stress. Please don't offer to help if you're not willing to!Jude from United Kingdom – 5 December 2024 (10/10)
We had a very quiet and comfortable few nights stay at the apartment which is conveniently located close to the arena. It was super clean and well equipped with lots of nice touches and even a few Xmas decorations! Thank you to Valentina for her hospitality and the gifts of Prosecco, crisps, chocolate and a pretty glass Christmas tree which is a lovely momento. Don’t hesitate to book this lovely apartment for your stay in Verona.
What could be improved: Nothing it’s perfect.George from United States – 22 November 2024 (10/10)
It was very clean (spotless) BUT most importantly was it was quiet. Normally this means a lousy location. Not here. This was about one block from the Verona Arena area (many restaurants) and a wine bar (Sivino's) that also held bags via Bounce (app only). This was an incredible location but just off the beaten path to be incredibly & wonderfully quiet.
Verona (the town) was a bit of a pleasent surprise to us. Absolutely would stay again.
Also — the taxi stand was on the opposite side of the arena. Very easy to comute to/from anywhere (usually the train station) as we did day trips to Lago di Garda & Venice from here. If it were later in the year, could have gone skiing. Aweosme place & city!Melissa from Canada – 28 June 2023 (10/10)
everything about this apartment was perfect for our week long stay in Verona. it was very spacious and clean and in a perfect location – close to the busy piazza bra and the arena but so, so quiet. and a quick walk to the local parking garage. the air conditioning was lovely to come home to since we were in Verona during a heat wave. I also loved how secure it was. being at ground level I’m sometimes worried about security but there were 2 locked gates and two locked doors someone would have to get through to access our apartment. perfectly secure. tons of clothing storage space and the kitchen had everything we needed. oh! and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out in the morning. mattresses in Italy (and Europe in general) tend to be uncomfortable but this one was perfection even for one person who likes a soft mattress and one who likes a firmer mattress. somehow this mattress managed to be perfect for both of us. the management staff was lovely and very responsive and left us a very nice welcome basket of goodies to eat. all in all, a perfect stay. I would definitely return.
What could be improved: can’t think of anything we didn’t like about the property.
