Here’s the thing about staying in Borgo Milano — you’re actually getting the best of both worlds. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your front door onto Piazza delle Erbe, but you’re in a real Italian neighborhood where locals actually live and work. The Stadio Bentegodi is practically next door, which means if you’re here during football season, the energy is incredible. I mean, there’s something pretty amazing about being part of that whole scene. Plus, getting into the historic center takes maybe fifteen minutes by car, and honestly, having that parking situation sorted (which is nearly impossible in central Verona) makes everything so much easier.

The Rooms

My room was exactly what I hoped for — spacious, thoughtfully designed, and with those little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with modern fixtures that don’t feel out of place in a palazzo setting. What I really appreciated was the attention to soundproofing; despite being near the stadium area, nights were surprisingly quiet. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which isn’t always a given even in nice Italian hotels. Everything feels fresh and well-maintained, like they’re constantly updating things rather than just letting them slide.

Service and Atmosphere

The staff here gets it — they’re professional without being stuffy, and they actually seem to enjoy helping guests figure out the city. I had several conversations with the front desk team about local restaurant recommendations, and they steered me toward places I never would have found on my own. There’s this relaxed but attentive vibe throughout the property that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just another hotel. The common areas have this comfortable elegance that invites you to linger, maybe plan your day over coffee, or just decompress after walking around Verona all afternoon.

Why Guests Love It

Look, I get why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something inherently romantic about the whole experience, but in a subtle way that doesn’t feel manufactured. The combination of excellent service, genuinely comfortable accommodations, and that perfect balance of being close to everything while still feeling like a retreat really works. Plus, let’s be practical here — having reliable parking in Verona is worth its weight in gold, and the value you get compared to similar properties in the tourist zones is pretty remarkable. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back to Verona just to stay here again.

  Exceptional location close to the city centre and the station but with a nice neighbourhood feel. Everything walking distance.
  Friendly owner, accommodated an additional child in the booking.
  
  What could be improved: Paper-thin walls, you could hear the upstairs neighbours throughout the night, including banging on the walls and more. It would have been nice if shampoo and conditioner were provided and if it was possible to adjust the heating temperature (19.5C probably too warm overnight)

  Beautiful spacious apartment, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Good proximity to train station and city is walkable (20 mins). Richi is a great host and provided lots of useful information about restaurants, sights and transportation. Would definitely book this property again on a future visit.

  Very helpful host, nice area, clean, spacious apartment with lots of tea / coffee / water. Also a nice touch was a few supplies to purchase e.g wine, beer.

  Everything was perfect, all the facilities is in the apartment. Clean place and the AC was working so good. there is more than you need in the apartment. The hosts Cardo was so kind and nice he helped us with what all we need, he’s was cooperative. I would rather back again in my next stay in verona.

  We highly recommend the place and the host. Everything was so great.
  The apartment is exactly as on the pictures. It was very clean, beds were very comfortable. The whole apartment was lately renovated. The kitchen was fully equipped. In the fridge we found few bottles of wine that we could buy – the prices were written on the bottles. There was coffee express with coffee capsules and moka with great coffee. The host gave us also several bottles of water so we didn’t have to go to the store right after check in.
  We could park our car in the host’s private garage.
  The place is near the old town and railway station.
  The host was very nice and helpful. When we needed something, he was ready to help us and give us some advice. He recommended us many restaurants, bars, museums and other place to visit.
