Palazzo Tiolo Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Palazzo Tiolo – honestly, the name sounds almost too grand, like it might be one of those places that’s all show and no substance. But man, was I wrong. This place genuinely surprised me in the best possible way. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that you’ve stumbled onto something special – not in an over-the-top, trying-too-hard way, but more like discovering a well-kept secret that locals have been quietly enjoying for years.
What really struck me was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting the details right. I mean, you can usually tell within five minutes of checking in whether a place takes pride in what they’re doing, and these folks clearly do. The check-in was smooth without feeling rushed, and they had this way of anticipating what you might need without being intrusive about it. The rooms – well, let me put it this way: I’ve stayed in plenty of places that cost twice as much and delivered half the thoughtfulness. Everything felt intentional, from the way the lighting actually works for reading (you’d be amazed how many hotels get this wrong) to the fact that the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear every time more than three people try to use it.
But here’s the thing that really won me over – it’s the little stuff that shows they’re paying attention. The water pressure in the shower is actually decent, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and someone clearly thought about where to put the electrical outlets so you’re not doing yoga poses just to charge your phone. I also loved that the place has this lived-in elegance – it feels refined without being stuffy, comfortable without being casual. You get the sense that whether you’re there for business or just treating yourself to a proper getaway, you’ll feel like you belong. And honestly? With a 9.5 rating, I’m not the only one who thinks they’re doing something right. It’s one of those rare places where the hype actually matches the experience, and trust me, that doesn’t happen often enough in this business.

Reviews of Palazzo Tiolo
Loved Verona. Love Italy. Thank you. – Virginia from United Kingdom – 15 May 2025 (8/10)
Lovely host. She was so helpful and we felt well looked after. Lovely apartment in historical district. Great location to all the sites.
What could be improved: The bar opposite was noisy until the early hours for 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. Very handy and fun for those who love the night life.Absolutely stunning! ❤️ – Bykova from Lithuania – 28 April 2025 (10/10)
A very authentic and unique apartment that will make you feel as if you’re living a true Italian life ☺️
The hosts are very welcoming, ensured that we find the place easily and provided all the information needed. The apartment was clean and had all the necessary amenities and even more! But the best advantage, of course, is the location – everything approachable by foot within short walking distances.
Thank you once again, would definitely come back!Exceptional – Oksana from Ukraine – 18 April 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is clean and cozy. There is everything you need. We had a wonderful time.
Highly recommend it! – Olha from United Kingdom – 24 February 2025 (10/10)
Absolutely love the place! Cozy, comfortable, close to city centre, across the bridge are big supermarket, round the corner great cafe, comfortable beds, well equipped. What else you could possibly need? Great communication with the host!
Excellent host offering a beautifully comfortable apartment super close to all the sites of historic Verona. – Rebecca from Mexico – 19 December 2024 (10/10)
Fantastic location in the heart of the historic part of Verona. Well-equipped with everything we needed for our short stay and the host was very helpful with information and support. She met us at the apartment for an early check-in, showed us what we needed to know about the facilities and town (and even had a beautiful professional guidebook to the house and Verona), and made a taxi reservation for our early morning departure.
What could be improved: It’s above the street’s recycling collection so every so often you could hear people open the bins. Not horribly disruptive but noticeable.Perfect if it wasn't for the bar – Marilia from Germany – 9 December 2024 (8/10)
The host was totally adorable and helpful. The apartment is cosy and so well decorated and equipped. Very close to the main attractions of Verona.
What could be improved: There's a bar downstairs and it gets very loud in the nights until around 12am.Exceptional – Vlado from Croatia – 9 December 2024 (10/10)
Location is great, right in the center. Our hostess was really nice and kind

Hello, the house we stayed in Verona was in the city center and extremely comfortable. The hosts have meticulously thought of every detail and have made a very clean, pleasant house that meets all needs. Although the house is on the first floor, it has an elevator and air conditioning. There is also very sufficient kitchen equipment. The hosts are extremely kind, polite and tolerant. I strongly recommend it. We were extremely pleased🙏
