I was expecting just another standard apartment rental, but this place actually feels like staying in a local’s beautifully curated home rather than some sterile vacation property. The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense of “oh, someone who actually lives in Verona designed this space” – and I mean that in the best possible way.

The location in Veronetta is honestly perfect if you want to experience the city like locals do instead of being stuck in the touristy centro storico bubble. You’re literally a stone’s throw from the Adige River, and I loved taking morning walks along the waterfront before the day got busy. The neighborhood has this authentic residential vibe – you’ll hear Italian conversations drifting from balconies and catch the aroma of fresh bread from the bakery down the street. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to Juliet’s balcony and all that, but here’s the thing: you get to come home to actual peace and quiet at night instead of dealing with crowds of tourists stumbling around outside your window.

The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully everything was set up. I mean, they actually have good coffee (not that instant stuff), the shower has proper water pressure, and there are enough outlets near the bed for your phone charger – small details that tell you someone who travels regularly put this together. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s not luxury, but it’s genuinely comfortable and clean. What I really appreciated was the local guidebook they left out – not generic tourist stuff, but actual recommendations for where to grab aperitivo with university students and which osteria serves the best horse meat (if you’re into that sort of thing). The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’re there; honestly, the only minor complaint I had was that the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights with students heading to bars, but if you’re not a super light sleeper, it’s really not a problem. Plus, you sort of feel connected to the city’s energy rather than isolated from it. I’d definitely stay here again – actually, I’ve already recommended it to two friends planning trips to Verona.

  The house heating was perfect. The location was good.
  
  What could be improved: The hot water for shower was not fair enough for two people consecutively.
  The dishwasher was full and dirty, with a bad smell. They took care of it upon our claim!

  Everything was perfect, including the nice decoration of the appartment, the separation between the bedroom and the rest of the appartment and amenities like coffee, tea and cookies. The location is quiet, but within minutes from a local supermarket and good restaurants. The city center is less than 10 minutes away.
  
  What could be improved: The only – minor – nuisances were the fact that we had received the wrong code for collecting our keys and the username and password for the wrong WiFi network. But these technical problems were solved very quickly and smoothly by our landlady.
