The building itself has that weathered elegance that Verona does so well, where centuries-old stone meets modern comfort without trying too hard to impress you. Honestly, the lobby feels more like stepping into someone’s well-appointed home than a typical hotel reception area. The staff here actually seem to know the city beyond the standard tourist recommendations – when I mentioned wanting to find a decent aperitivo spot away from the Piazza Bra crowds, the guy at the desk didn’t just point me toward the obvious places. Instead, he sent me to this little enoteca about three blocks away where locals were unwinding after work, and it ended up being one of those perfect travel moments you can’t really plan for.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how it handles the whole “historic center” thing without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The rooms have character – we’re talking original architectural details and that kind of solid, substantial feel you get in old European buildings – but everything actually works. The shower has proper pressure, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes (small mercies when you’re trying to navigate Italian train schedules). I stayed during what turned out to be a pretty busy weekend in spring, and while you could definitely hear the city coming alive in the mornings, it wasn’t the kind of street noise that keeps you up at night. The windows are solid, and honestly, there’s something charming about drifting off to the distant sound of people enjoying themselves in the piazzas. With that 8.8 rating, it’s clear other travelers are picking up on the same things – this place just gets the balance right between authentic location and actual comfort, which isn’t always easy to find in historic Italian city centers.

  Property is in a perfect location. Just across the bridge and you are in Verona. Communication with the property was perfect and they were very accommodating which made it even better.

  What could be improved: Ohjeet, kuinka toimitaan. Ei ollut mitään ohjeita mistään laitteista, roskista yms. Kartta olisi ollut kiva. Astioita ei ollut, esim. kahvikupit oli vain kertakäyttöiset espressokupit. Mutta mistä juodaan esim. teetä? Pyyhkeet ja liinavaatteet eivät olleet puhtaita, haisivat pahalle. Pyykkikoneessa oli pyykkiä, eikä konetta voinut käyttää. Eikä myöskään ammetta voinut käyttää, kun tulppa puuttui. Toisessa makuuhuoneessa ei ollut yöpöytää, eikä yövaloa. Huoneistoa ei ollut sisustettu, eikä se ollut viihtyisä.

  The property is ideally located in the center of Verona, spotless, spacious, it is fully equipped with everything you might need. Pietro is a great host that does the best for the guest interest. My mother and daughter also loved our stay. We will surely come again!
