Park Hotel Elefante Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Park Hotel Elefante? The name makes it sound quirky – maybe even a bit kitschy – but honestly, this 3-star place has way more character than I expected. I mean, sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or infinity pools, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup that made my stay feel comfortable rather than just… functional.
The staff actually seem to care about what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given at this price point. Check-in was smooth (no weird hidden fees or pushy upselling), and the front desk folks were happy to chat about local spots without that rehearsed tourist-brochure vibe. My room was clean and well-maintained – nothing fancy, but the bed was surprisingly comfortable and the bathroom had decent water pressure. I appreciated the little touches too, like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually worked. The 8.2 rating makes total sense when you stay there because it delivers on the basics really well.
What I liked most was how the place feels more authentic than a lot of chain hotels. There’s a lived-in quality that doesn’t feel shabby, just real. The common areas have this relaxed atmosphere where you can actually hang out without feeling like you’re loitering. Breakfast was solid – nothing Instagram-worthy, but fresh coffee and decent pastries to get your day started. Honestly, after staying at places that promise the world and deliver mediocrity, there’s something refreshing about a hotel that knows what it is and does it well. If you’re looking for a straightforward, comfortable stay without the pretense (or the price tag) of fancier spots, Park Hotel Elefante hits that sweet spot nicely.
Early hotels booking in Verona requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary balconies, medieval squares, and Italian cultural attractions.

Helpfull staff, spacious rooms, great location right next to bus stop taking you to the centre of the city.
Simone from South Africa – 19 November 2024 (8/10)
The owners were so friendly, food at the restaurant was good, the breakfast was excellent, easily reached via public transport and the rooms were large, comfortable and clean.
What could be improved: The street in front is abit busy.Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 5 October 2024 (8/10)
Location for both Verona and Lake Garda. Wonderful big room and friendly staff.
What could be improved: Pool was out of use but possibly due to weather/time of year – wasn’t made clear when booking.
The room is so big could fit a small sofa or 2 small chairs and table.Alex from United Kingdom – 1 September 2024 (9/10)
The room was ideal. Good size. Refrigerator. Air con. Pool was lovely. Ideally suited as a base – 18 minutes by bus to Verona. 25 minutes (car) to Southern end of Lake Garda.
What could be improved: Possibly get a Smart TV – but we had a tablet and WiFi was good enough. Not really a problem.Carol from United Kingdom – 22 August 2024 (9/10)
I booked this hotel for a stay at the end of a train journey through Europe. In terms of a 3 star hotel, as I travel on a budget, I had definitely saved the best to last.
My room at the top of the tower was spotless, extremely spacious and tastefully fitted. A fridge was also available. There is no lift, but I was given help with my case. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was generous with plenty of choice., from freshly made fruit salad to bacon and scrambled eggs.
The pool was a very welcome experience, especially after seeing the sights of Verona and around Lake Garda, about an hour away.
The hotel is not centrally located, but there are bus stops nearby within a short two minute walk. The buses on this route go to Verona and in the other direction, Lake Garda. During the high season though, go early, as the buses can get very busy..
I did not dine here but there is dining available most evenings. Check times.
And I loved the large garden….oh, and the rabbits!
What could be improved: Some people will dislike the noise of the nearby, busy road. Once my windows and shutters were closed, I can't say I heard the traffic.
You will need to be prepared to use the buses or drive a car to get the best out of your stay here.
Some parts of the hotel would benefit from a bit of an update, and the lovely garden seems to be used as a bit of dumping ground in places for outdated hotel fixturesDavid from United Kingdom – 10 August 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful old hotel. Clearly could be renovated but absolutely charming as it is.
What could be improved: Tiny negative is that the air-conditioning in our room was very poor resulting in a pretty poor night sleep.Vardu from Lithuania – 24 July 2024 (9/10)
Location – great, breakfast – excellent, seperated housed-renewed, scented, with a nice furniture. Fridge included.
Christopher from United Kingdom – 23 June 2024 (9/10)
Good as expected
Stanislav from Slovenia – 6 May 2024 (9/10)
The staff was really nice and friendly. Parking has enough spaces. As for continental breakfast, it was better than I tried before in other hotels.
What could be improved: They have some party outside and it was until 00:00. Was not a big problem for us, but if you tired after traveling it might be problem.Chris from United States – 5 May 2024 (9/10)
A last second booking. A great little place. It had parking and was clean. The price was right. I would stay here again.
What could be improved: Nothing.
