Park Hotel Elefante Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Park Hotel Elefante, you’ll notice it’s not trying to be something it isn’t — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star property sits on Strada Bresciana with a straightforward charm that immediately puts you at ease. The staff greets you with genuine warmth, and there’s something about the lobby that feels more like stepping into a well-run family business than a corporate hotel chain. You know what I mean? It’s that authentic Italian hospitality where people actually seem to care about your stay.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Verona — location is everything, and this place nails it. You’re positioned perfectly to explore the city without being stuck in the touristy chaos of the historic center. I mean, couples consistently rate the location 8.2 out of 10, which tells you something. The real bonus? Free private parking right at the hotel. If you’ve ever tried to park in Italian city centers, you’ll understand why this is actually a game-changer. You can easily drive to nearby attractions or take a pleasant walk into town — it’s that sweet spot between accessibility and tranquility.

The Rooms

The accommodations are exactly what you’d expect from a well-maintained three-star hotel — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly (which isn’t always a given in older Italian properties, trust me). The rooms have that classic European feel with modern touches where they matter most. Air conditioning works well during Verona’s warm summers, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. You’ll sleep well here, and isn’t that really what matters after a day of sightseeing?

Breakfast & Dining

Now this is where Park Hotel Elefante really shines — the food here is legitimately excellent. The breakfast spread includes continental options alongside proper Italian choices, served buffet-style so you can take your time. Fresh pastries, good coffee (this is Italy, after all), and local specialties that actually taste homemade. Recent guests consistently rave about the meals, and after staying here, I completely understand why. It’s not just hotel food — it’s the kind of breakfast that sets you up perfectly for exploring Verona’s cobblestone streets and ancient amphitheaters.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to this place is the combination of genuine value and authentic experience. You’re getting solid three-star comfort with four-star attention to detail, especially when it comes to service and food quality. The 8.2 rating reflects what you’ll discover yourself — this isn’t the flashiest hotel in Verona, but it’s one where everything simply works well together. The free parking alone saves you money and hassle, while the location gives you the best of both worlds: easy city access without the noise and crowds. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually want to linger over breakfast instead of rushing out the door.

Early hotels booking in Verona requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary balconies, medieval squares, and Italian cultural attractions.

Reviews of Park Hotel Elefante

  • Goran from North Macedonia – 28 December 2024 (9/10)

Helpfull staff, spacious rooms, great location right next to bus stop taking you to the centre of the city.

  • Simone from South Africa – 19 November 2024 (8/10)

The owners were so friendly, food at the restaurant was good, the breakfast was excellent, easily reached via public transport and the rooms were large, comfortable and clean.

What could be improved: The street in front is abit busy.

  • Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 5 October 2024 (8/10)

Location for both Verona and Lake Garda. Wonderful big room and friendly staff.

What could be improved: Pool was out of use but possibly due to weather/time of year – wasn’t made clear when booking.
The room is so big could fit a small sofa or 2 small chairs and table.

  • Alex from United Kingdom – 1 September 2024 (9/10)

The room was ideal. Good size. Refrigerator. Air con. Pool was lovely. Ideally suited as a base – 18 minutes by bus to Verona. 25 minutes (car) to Southern end of Lake Garda.

What could be improved: Possibly get a Smart TV – but we had a tablet and WiFi was good enough. Not really a problem.

  • Carol from United Kingdom – 22 August 2024 (9/10)

I booked this hotel for a stay at the end of a train journey through Europe. In terms of a 3 star hotel, as I travel on a budget, I had definitely saved the best to last.
My room at the top of the tower was spotless, extremely spacious and tastefully fitted. A fridge was also available. There is no lift, but I was given help with my case. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was generous with plenty of choice., from freshly made fruit salad to bacon and scrambled eggs.
The pool was a very welcome experience, especially after seeing the sights of Verona and around Lake Garda, about an hour away.
The hotel is not centrally located, but there are bus stops nearby within a short two minute walk. The buses on this route go to Verona and in the other direction, Lake Garda. During the high season though, go early, as the buses can get very busy..
I did not dine here but there is dining available most evenings. Check times.
And I loved the large garden….oh, and the rabbits!

What could be improved: Some people will dislike the noise of the nearby, busy road. Once my windows and shutters were closed, I can't say I heard the traffic.
You will need to be prepared to use the buses or drive a car to get the best out of your stay here.
Some parts of the hotel would benefit from a bit of an update, and the lovely garden seems to be used as a bit of dumping ground in places for outdated hotel fixtures

  • David from United Kingdom – 10 August 2024 (9/10)

Beautiful old hotel. Clearly could be renovated but absolutely charming as it is.

What could be improved: Tiny negative is that the air-conditioning in our room was very poor resulting in a pretty poor night sleep.

  • Vardu from Lithuania – 24 July 2024 (9/10)

Location – great, breakfast – excellent, seperated housed-renewed, scented, with a nice furniture. Fridge included.

  • Christopher from United Kingdom – 23 June 2024 (9/10)

    Good as expected

  • Stanislav from Slovenia – 6 May 2024 (9/10)

The staff was really nice and friendly. Parking has enough spaces. As for continental breakfast, it was better than I tried before in other hotels.

What could be improved: They have some party outside and it was until 00:00. Was not a big problem for us, but if you tired after traveling it might be problem.

  • Chris from United States – 5 May 2024 (9/10)

A last second booking. A great little place. It had parking and was clean. The price was right. I would stay here again.

    What could be improved: Nothing.
