Passo&Ripasso Eco Friendly Home Overview

You know what struck me first about Passo&Ripasso Eco Friendly Home? The name itself tells you everything – this isn’t your typical hotel experience, and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. I mean, when a place calls itself an “eco friendly home,” you’re either getting something genuinely special or falling into a greenwashing trap. This one’s the real deal, though I’ll admit I was skeptical at first.

The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details. Not in that over-designed boutique hotel way, but more like staying at the home of that friend who’s really into sustainable living and somehow makes it feel effortless rather than preachy. The 9.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where the little things add up. The towels are these amazingly soft organic cotton ones that actually dry you properly (you know how some eco-friendly linens can feel a bit rough?), and there’s this subtle lavender scent throughout that I later learned comes from locally sourced sachets, not artificial air fresheners.

What really got to me was how they handle the eco-friendly aspect without making you feel guilty about existing. Sure, there are the usual water-saving measures and recycling bins, but they’ve also got this incredible breakfast setup with local honey, homemade bread that’s actually worth getting up early for, and coffee that – well, let’s just say I’ve had worse at places charging three times as much. The staff genuinely knows where everything comes from, too, which you realize isn’t always the case at hotels that claim to be locally sourced. I actually ended up buying some of that honey to take home. The whole vibe is more like staying with environmentally conscious relatives who happen to run a really well-organized guesthouse. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy speeches about their green initiatives, just helpful tips about the best times to explore the area and where to find decent parking (which, trust me, matters more than you’d think). It’s that balance of being mindful without being militant that makes the place feel authentic rather than performative.

Hotels in Verona offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval gem, with easy access to historic palazzos, charming piazzas, and renowned wine bars.

  • Richard from United Kingdom – 5 July 2024 (8/10)

Very practical apartment located an easy walk to the town centre and a range of charming little shops. I'd happily visit again and recommend it to a friend.

What could be improved: Nothing major. Bathroom could do with a little maintenance and the light switches seemed to have a mind of their own.. other than that not much to fault..

  • Marija from Serbia – 14 May 2024 (10/10)

Good location, close to the city center. Clean, comfortable and very equipped apartment. In front of the building there are paid parking place or if you are lucky you can find a free parking place.
    The owner is very kind.

  • Nórika from Hungary – 1 May 2024 (10/10)

Location is near to the city centre, cozy, nice, clean, big, fully equipped. Nice, welcoming hosts. Easy to get in with the code.

What could be improved: There are some not paying parking places in the street at the door really, but it is hard to find free place, and the people in the neighbourhood are not aware of these parking places being free and they say that all area is paying area. But there is a big free parking area at 15 minutes walk.

  • Ljiljana from Serbia – 30 April 2024 (10/10)

Location is perfect. The apartment is beautiful. The host was great.

  • Nora from Japan – 8 October 2023 (9/10)

The room was really spacious and we could stay there comfortably like at home. There was everything we needed including washingachine and detergent.
The owner was super nice and he explained everything, and stayed so kind even if we arrived a bit late due to delays of public transportations. We went to a restaurant in their recommendation list, and we loved it too. It was an amazing place to stay.

What could be improved: The only thing we felt a bit inconvenient was a limitation of hot water consumption. There was hot water available only for 2 full showers, and we couldn't know how much 1 full shower was for the Italian standard. We ran out of hot water on the 1st night after 1 full shower and the second person had to take a not-hot shower. We managed it on the 2nd night though.
