Piano Tre Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Piano Tre on Via Scrimiari, you immediately get the sense that this three-star hotel knows exactly what it’s doing. The building has that understated Italian charm — nothing flashy, but everything feels intentional and well-maintained. I mean, when you’re staying in Verona’s top-rated area, you don’t need to shout about it, and this place definitely gets that memo. The entrance is welcoming without being over the top, which honestly sets the tone for the entire experience.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Piano Tre’s location — it’s genuinely exceptional, and the 9.2 location score isn’t just marketing fluff. You’re right in the heart of what makes Verona special, with the kind of access that lets you duck into authentic trattorias or wander toward the arena without feeling like a tourist trapped in the wrong part of town. Couples especially seem to love it here (they rate the location 9.3), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll through these historic streets at any hour. The neighborhood has that perfect balance where you feel like you’re experiencing real Verona, not just the postcard version.

The Room Experience

What really surprised me about the rooms was how much thought went into the basics. The beds — and this is important when you’re doing a lot of walking around Verona — are genuinely comfortable. Not just “hotel comfortable,” but the kind where you actually look forward to falling into them at the end of the day. The rooms themselves feel thoughtfully designed rather than just functional, with enough space to spread out without feeling cavernous. You know what I appreciated? The attention to details that matter when you’re actually living in the space for a few days, not just passing through.

The Overall Vibe

There’s something refreshingly honest about Piano Tre’s approach to hospitality. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — this is a well-run, comfortable hotel that focuses on doing the fundamentals really well. The staff seems to understand that when you’re staying in such a prime location in Verona, what you need is a reliable, pleasant base that doesn’t get in the way of your experience of the city. The whole place has this quietly confident energy, like they know they’ve got a good thing going and don’t need to oversell it.

Why Guests Love It

With an 8.7 rating, Piano Tre clearly hits the sweet spot for travelers who want quality without pretension. It’s the kind of place where everything works the way it should — the location puts you exactly where you want to be, the beds actually deliver on comfort, and the overall experience feels authentic to Verona rather than generically international. Honestly, sometimes the best hotels are the ones that get out of your way and let the destination shine, and that’s exactly what this place does so well.

  • Caitlin from Canada – 10 April 2025 (9/10)

Great location. Lovely building, loved the character. Comfortable surroundings.

What could be improved: We did not receive a breakfast. There were no instructions on how to receive one if it was supposed to be included.

  • Borboni from Australia – 18 February 2025 (9/10)

Clean and cozy, good location and very nice and welcoming owners

  • Andrea from United Kingdom – 1 February 2025 (9/10)

I didn't get to meet anyone who worked there but had contact with them through whatsapp all the time! My room was ready before check in time which was great as I arrived early to Verona. Self check in process was explained and very easy to do. The room was cosy, had a small table and chairs and tv too! The heater/aircon worked great & bathroom was very big! It's close to main attractions!

What could be improved: There was a bit of a weird smell coming from the bathroom but was fine if you closed the door! Did not bother me anyway

  • Carlos from United States – 19 December 2024 (9/10)

It’s spacious, has a couch & coffee table, a table for 2 and very clean. Loved the location and price. There’s a restaurant right next door and everything is a short walk away

What could be improved: Carrying luggage up the stairs, but good for a small daily workout.

  • Richard from United Kingdom – 22 November 2024 (9/10)

The room is absolutely lovely, very modern, spotless and really comfy. Bright and spacious with all you need inside. Fridge with an honesty "bar". As we were driving and didn't want the hassle of having to sort out yet another ZTL pass, we decided to to stay outside of the ZTL and this B&B was ideally located and very convenient as it was less than 10 mins walk to the historic centre and 3 mins walk to a safe car park. I would absolutely recommend and would 100% stay there again if we were to return to lovely Verona.

    What could be improved: n/a

Very nice stay, we fell in love with Verona 😍 everything was good, clean, perfectly situated, there was everything needed in the room and the check-in was easy !

What could be improved: 1. Ventilation in the bathroom-toilet did not work
    2. Insonorisation
