What struck me right away was how quiet this street feels, even though you’re actually in one of Verona’s most coveted neighborhoods. The staff greeted me like I was an old friend returning home, which honestly set the tone for everything that followed.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Potus Home’s location — it’s ridiculously well-positioned, and I mean that in the best way possible. You’re tucked away on this peaceful residential street, but somehow you can walk to the Arena di Verona in about ten minutes. The Adige River is practically around the corner, and those morning walks along the riverbank became part of my daily routine. What I loved most was discovering the little osteria just two blocks away where locals actually eat — you know, the kind of place you’d never find without staying in a neighborhood like this.

The Rooms

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed, with that Italian flair for making small spaces feel sophisticated rather than cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable — I’m pretty picky about mattresses, and this one actually let me sleep through the night without any of those weird pressure points. There’s good natural light during the day, and the bathroom, while not huge, had everything I needed including a shower with decent water pressure. The little touches matter here too — proper hangers in the closet, enough outlets for your devices, that sort of thing.

Daily Life at the Hotel

What really sets Potus Home apart is how it feels more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a typical hotel. The common areas invite you to linger — I found myself having coffee in the morning and actually chatting with other guests, which doesn’t happen often these days. The staff seems to genuinely know the city well, and their restaurant recommendations were spot-on (that little trattoria they suggested near Castelvecchio became my go-to dinner spot). There’s also something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — no gym, no spa, just solid hospitality done right.

It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Verona trip before you’ve even checked out.
