PratoSanto, relax nel cuore di Verona Overview
You know what struck me first about PratoSanto, relax nel cuore di Verona? The name actually delivers on its promise – it really is tucked right in the heart of Verona, and honestly, the “relax” part isn’t just marketing speak. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere that manages to feel like a peaceful retreat while being smack dab in the middle of one of Italy’s most romantic cities, that’s saying something.
The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re close enough to hear the gentle hum of Veronese life – maybe some animated Italian conversations drifting up from the street below, the distant sound of Vespa engines – but it’s not overwhelming at all. I found myself just sitting by the window sometimes, watching locals go about their daily routines. There’s something about being in the centro storico that makes you feel like you’re part of the city rather than just passing through. You can easily walk to Juliet’s balcony (though honestly, it’s pretty touristy), but more importantly, you’re near those little osterie where actual Veronese people eat. The kind of places where the menu might be handwritten and the owner’s nonna is probably in the kitchen.
What really won me over was how the place manages to balance that authentic Italian charm with genuine comfort. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you experience it – it’s one of those spots where the details matter. Maybe it’s the way the morning light filters through the windows, or how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. I actually slept better here than I expected to, which is rare for me in city centers. The staff seemed to genuinely care about making sure you had what you needed, not in that overly formal hotel way, but more like… well, like Italian hospitality should feel. They’d give you restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps, you know?
I’ll be honest – Verona can get pretty crowded during peak season, especially around the Arena and Piazza delle Erbe, but having a peaceful base like this makes all the difference. After spending a day wandering through the Roman ruins or getting swept up in the evening passeggiata, there’s something really satisfying about retreating to a place that feels both central and serene. It’s the kind of spot where you might actually want to spend a lazy morning just enjoying your coffee instead of rushing out to tick off sightseeing boxes. And honestly, isn’t that what a good Italian getaway should feel like?
To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

Perfect base from which to enjoy Verona. – Christine from United Kingdom – 1 July 2025 (8/10)
Fantastic location close to the center of Verona yet quiet, great helpful and friendly hosts, really comfortable and very clean. The perfect place to be based to visit the town and area.
What could be improved: Nothing! It was perfect for our requirementsGood – Cem from Turkey – 1 May 2025 (8/10)
Clean , good location , easy checkin and out, parking was not prpblem
Spacious apartment at a walking distance from the main attractions – Eyal from Israel – 1 September 2024 (10/10)
The apartment has lots of space, divided by two doors, separating the bedrooms from the living room and kitchen, and from each other. The kitchen is functional to cook for a family, the coffee machine and tea, salt and sugar are welcome touches. The were many reviews about the check in process – it's actually very easy, just click your phone and turn the door knob (firmly). This makes it available for any member of the family to come and go, without having to carry a key.
The parking permit is perfect – just parked next to the building and forgot about the car until it was time to leave.
We were a family of five, with teenagers, and had a great time, thanks.
What could be improved: There is a bit of street noise, but not at a level that bothered us when the windows were closed.
The second shower didn't have a key to lock it, but this could probably be fixed easily.Lovely place to stay in Verona. – Carly from Australia – 27 August 2024 (10/10)
Lovely, bright spacious apartment very close to the Garibaldi bridge. Very clean. Has everything you need. Short walk into town for sightseeing, restaurants etc.
Excellent location. AC worked well. Two large bedrooms with comfortable bed. Can’t fault it.
Highly recommend.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike.Exceptional – Petzwinkler from South Africa – 24 August 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was clean and well equiped. Very close to centre.
Parking was easy in front of building. Instructions for access was easyWonderful location and simple but sufficient facility. – Atsuto from Italy – 23 August 2024 (9/10)
The location of the apartment is quite close from city center and it was convenient to access to the most of heritages in Verona. The facility of apartment is clean and big enough for staying 5 people of family.
What could be improved: This is not bad point, but this apartment door locking system is controlled by smartphone and we struggled to use it at the first time. More detailed instruction with supplement photos would be helpful.Very convenient stop for quick sight-seeing in Verona – Mateusz from Poland – 21 August 2024 (9/10)
Very close to the historical city centre (jusf over the bridge) and easy parking in the street with the city card of the owner. A perfect location for a quick visit to Verona. Two bathrooms, very spacious.
What could be improved: Not the most cosy place that i have seen but clean and tidy.Superb – Virginia from United Kingdom – 12 August 2024 (9/10)
Great location, nice neighbourhood and close to the centre, to walk in to the Opera in the arena. The apartment was roomy, and clean and perfect for our needs. Parking permit was really handy, although couldn’t get a space on the same street when we arrived back late one night, we just parked a little further away and moved the car the next day. Well equipped property, including coffee for the pod machine. Kids loved the big bedroom TV’s. Bizarrely only 4 forks thought.
great 👍 – Majid from United Arab Emirates – 5 August 2024 (10/10)
everything was great
What could be improved: nothingSuperb – Usa from Thailand – 3 June 2024 (9/10)
The room was clean and location is not far from attractions. Hosts are helpful and responsive.
What could be improved: If there is a washing machine, it will be great.
