What really impressed me was how quiet it stayed at night, considering you’re smack in the middle of everything. I was worried about noise from the bars and late-night crowds, but the windows must be decent because I slept like a baby. Well, except for Sunday morning when the church bells started their symphony around 6 AM – but honestly, that’s just part of the Verona experience, and after a day or two, it becomes sort of charming. The Wi-Fi actually worked consistently too, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings where the walls are thick enough to stop a tank. If you’re planning to visit during opera season at the Arena, book way ahead – this whole area gets absolutely packed, and places like this with good ratings disappear fast. But if you can snag a spot here, you’ll have a solid base for exploring everything Verona has to offer without feeling like you’re staying in some soulless chain hotel.
