Oh, and check-in was smooth as silk, even when I arrived late after a delayed flight; no fuss, just a quick key handoff and a smile. That said, if you’re traveling without a car, pack some patience for the bus schedules, especially on weekends when they run less frequently – it’s not a deal-breaker, but yeah, a minor hassle if you’re in a rush.

All in all, if you’re looking for a solid base in Verona without breaking the bank, Re Lear Expo is a smart pick, especially during the busy opera season at the Arena when center-city spots jack up prices. It’s got that authentic Italian warmth – think textured linen curtains and the scent of lemon cleaner in the halls – mixed with practical perks like fast Wi-Fi for planning your day trips to Lake Garda (about 40 minutes drive). I left feeling like I’d found a little secret, you know? Not perfect for everyone – if you want luxury pampering, look elsewhere – but for value and a genuine feel of the real Verona, away from the postcard crowds, it’s spot on. I’d go back in a heartbeat, maybe next time for a full vacation rather than work.
