Sometimes these smaller properties really surprise you, and this one’s got that authentic Italian charm that the big chain hotels just can’t fake. The building itself has this wonderful old-world character that makes you feel like you’re actually staying in someone’s renovated palazzo rather than just another tourist hotel.

What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel both historic and comfortable at the same time. The rooms aren’t huge – I mean, this is Italy, space is always at a premium – but they’re thoughtfully designed with these lovely period details that remind you you’re in Verona, not some generic European city. The staff here actually seems to care about what they’re doing, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to navigate a new place. They’ll point you toward the good gelato spots (not just the touristy ones) and give you real advice about timing your visit to the major sites. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense once you stay here – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be.

The Vescovado area itself is fascinating if you’re into that slightly-off-the-beaten-path vibe. You’re close enough to walk to all the main attractions without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos, which I really appreciated, especially in the evenings when you want to just wander and grab dinner somewhere quiet. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll see locals going about their daily business, kids playing in small piazzas, that sort of thing. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – well, that’s true anywhere in Verona’s historic center – but the hotel staff knows the tricks and can point you in the right direction. I found the mornings particularly lovely here because you get to experience the city waking up gradually, with the smell of fresh pastries drifting from nearby bakeries and the gentle sounds of shopkeepers opening up for the day. It’s these little moments that make you realize you’ve chosen well, you know?

  Everything was nearly perfect. The only little things that were a minimal problem were that the shower thing at the top didn't work properly and the breakfast is sweet croissants but overall everything was pretty nice.

  Where do I start? The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! Exquisite decoration ! The place was even better than the photos and the feeling it gave us was amazing.   The location was ideal for us to explore the city. The room was very comfortable and although we didn't use it having a kitchen available was a great addition. The breakfast at a nearby cafe was just enough to start the day.

  Very comfortable room with good bed, nice bathroom, exciting decor and plenty of space. Possible to relax in the shared lounge too.
  Very good location beside the Verona cathedral. A voucher for an Italian style breakfast is included in the price. A bit expensive but highly recommended
