Regina di Verona – Royal Welcome Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Regina di Verona – Royal Welcome on Via Don Carlo Steeb, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Verona‘s historic heart. This four-star boutique property sits tucked away on a quiet street, yet you’re literally steps from everything that matters — I mean, you can practically hear the buzz from Piazza delle Erbe around the corner. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance that doesn’t scream for attention but definitely commands respect. The entrance welcomes you with refined simplicity, setting the tone for what lies ahead.

Perfect Location

Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable — there’s a reason it scores a 9.1 for position. You’re in the real historical center, not some tourist-trap version of it, which means you’ll stumble upon locals doing their evening passeggiata right outside your door. Juliet’s balcony is a five-minute stroll (though you probably knew that was coming), but what’s actually more impressive is how you can duck into authentic osterie that most visitors never find. The narrow cobblestone streets can be tricky with luggage, but the hotel’s parking on-site solves that headache completely. Every corner reveals another layer of Verona’s rich cultural tapestry.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in struck that perfect balance between historical charm and modern comfort — you know what I mean, where you get the character without sacrificing your back on an ancient mattress. The decor feels authentically Italian without being overly themed, and the windows actually open (a small miracle in many European hotels) to let in those warm Verona evenings. What surprised me most was the attention to sound insulation — despite being in the city center, nights were remarkably peaceful. Each detail has been thoughtfully considered for your comfort.

Service and Atmosphere

The staff here genuinely seems to care about your experience, not just going through hospitality motions. They’ll point you toward the best gelato spot (it’s not the obvious one near the arena, trust me) and actually remember your name after the first day. The whole place has this intimate feel — it’s not trying to be a grand hotel, and that works in its favor. You feel like you’re staying at a well-connected friend’s place rather than just another tourist passing through. This personal touch distinguishes the property from larger chain establishments.

Why Guests Love It

Couples especially gravitate toward this place, and I can see why — there’s something inherently romantic about the setting without it being cheesy about it. The combination of that prime location, thoughtful service, and genuine Italian atmosphere creates exactly what you hope for in Verona. You’re not paying for unnecessary frills, but you’re getting everything that actually matters: comfort, location, and that intangible sense of being in the right place. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out. The experience lingers long after departure.

Verona’s apartments offer charming accommodations with period features, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this culturally rich Italian city.

Reviews of Regina di Verona – Royal Welcome

  • Mario from Brazil – 10 March 2025 (9/10)

Complimenti per la precisione, puntualità e passione per il proprio lavoro! Esperienza molto positiva in tutto il percorso del mio soggiorno , dove ho ricevuto sempre risposta a ogni mia domanda con preparazione e cortesia. Persona preparata e quindi per me consigliata!

What could be improved: Mancava solo una moka per fare il caffè.

  • Giorgia from Italy – 6 January 2025 (8/10)

L’appartamento è davvero nuovo , in una posizione molto centrale ( vicino l’arena) . Comodissimo per muoversi a piedi.

What could be improved: Pochi pochi utensili per la cucina. E ho trovato scomodo e poco specificato il fatto che non si possano lasciare i bagagli prima del check in o dopo il check out. Anzi, “offrono “ un servizio a pagamento di deposito bagagli proprio accanto ai loro uffici.

  • Justyna from Poland – 30 December 2024 (9/10)

Piękne czyste, zadbane i przestrzenne mieszkanie. Mega wygodne łóżka w świetnej lokalizacji

  • Valentina from Italy – 29 December 2024 (8/10)

  • Jim from United Kingdom – 21 June 2024 (9/10)

The location was great, just 10 minutes walk to the arena. The apartment itself was comfortable.

What could be improved: We thought the apartment lacked a few obvious things – it's a 4 person apartment but there was only a sofa to sit on in the lounge. There were only two wine glasses. There were no drying up cloths. No dishwasher. We also felt that some basic provisions should have been provided on arrival – fir example some milk, bread, tea, coffee etc. As it was we had to find a supermarket on our first evening.

  • Claudia from Portugal – 16 September 2023 (7/10)

Spacious rooms, modern kitchen,in spite of a big apt block, very quiet, entrance area clean, lift, aircon in every room

What could be improved: The kitchen was very poorly equipped. No coffee maker!!! No frying pan, no kitchen towels. Those 3 should be standard even in the most basic accommodations.chipped china.

  • Philippe from France – 8 August 2023 (9/10)

Beautiful appartment, right at the entrance of the old town. Lots of room, great decoration. Perfect for four people!

What could be improved: Some equipments were lacking, eg nothing in the kitchen like washing liquid, sponge, etc. Makes a little cooking complicated but of course you can buy it.

  • Sarah from United States – 12 July 2023 (9/10)

Great location. Air conditioning is a nice amenity. Fit 4 adults and 2 children comfortably.

What could be improved: Advertised as having a washer but at the time of this review, it does not have one. It would be nice to have a small bottle of dish soap and some paper towels included in the rental.

  • Elizabeth from Australia – 3 June 2023 (5/10)

    There was no breakfast

What could be improved: On key tag there was no indication what floor and apartment, whether it was apartment a b c or d. No information folder. No tea towels. Floor not washed. Washing machine died. For a 7 day stay there was no sufficient products in the kitchen, eg. bin liners, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper. Just to name a few.

  • Spiazzi from Italy – 30 March 2023 (9/10)

This location surprised us for many things. The spot is near by the center of the beautiful Verona and not far from the train station (you can literally get here after a 5 minutes walk). The house has all what it takes and the owners and managers are helpful and kind.
Our room had style and although we were near downtown we can't say anything about noises or problems. Nice to know that when, I hope as soon as possible, we'll have already a place to stay.
