Relais Balcone di Giulietta Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Relais Balcone di Giulietta feels like stepping into a beautifully kept secret. The four-star property sits right on Via Cappello 23, literally in Juliet’s courtyard — yes, that Juliet — which means you’re staying in one of the most romantic spots in all of Verona. I mean, the location alone is worth the price of admission, but honestly, this place delivers on so much more than just its famous address. The building itself has this refined elegance that manages to feel both historic and completely comfortable at the same time.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s incredible about staying here? You can lean out your window and watch tourists taking photos with Juliet’s balcony below — it’s like having front-row seats to one of Italy’s most famous attractions. But once the day-trippers head home, the courtyard becomes this peaceful, almost magical space that feels entirely yours. The Verona Historical Centre location means everything is walkable — Piazza delle Erbe is maybe three minutes away, and you can reach the Arena di Verona in about ten minutes on foot. Couples absolutely love this spot (they rate the location 9.8 out of 10), and I completely understand why.
The Rooms
The rooms here are something special, and I’m not just talking about the views (though some do overlook the famous courtyard). What really impressed me was how comfortable everything felt — the beds are genuinely excellent, which matters more than you might think after long days exploring Verona’s cobblestone streets. The rooms blend historical character with modern comfort in a way that actually works. You’ll find thoughtful touches throughout, from the quality linens to the way natural light fills the spaces during the day.
The Experience
There’s something almost surreal about staying in such an iconic location, but Relais Balcone di Giulietta handles it perfectly. The staff clearly understands they’re managing more than just a hotel — they’re part of Verona’s romantic mythology. Yet they never let that go to their heads or compromise on the actual hospitality. The property maintains this intimate, upscale atmosphere that feels exclusive without being stuffy. You get the sense that every detail has been considered, from the way they handle the constant flow of tourists outside to ensuring guests feel like they have privileged access to this famous space.
Why Guests Love It
Beyond the obvious romance factor, this hotel works because it delivers on the fundamentals while offering something truly unique. The 9.6 rating speaks to how well they balance the novelty of the location with genuine comfort and service. You’re not just staying near Verona’s attractions — you’re living inside one of them, but in the best possible way. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or simply want to experience Verona from its most famous address, this place offers an experience you literally cannot get anywhere else in the world.
Apartments in Verona provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Italian markets and experience daily life in historic Renaissance neighborhoods.

Such a great hotel, room was beautifully decorated, have lots of free yummy snacks and drinks included with the room. So cool to have access to the Juliet courtyard when the crowds are all gone. Great location to see all the sites you want in Verona. Would definitely visit again!
