The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that you don’t see much anymore – think rich wood paneling and artwork that actually means something rather than generic hotel art.

What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. You know what I mean? Not that overly rehearsed hospitality you get at chain hotels, but actual thoughtful service. The woman at reception (I think her name was Giulia) remembered my coffee preference by the second day, which honestly made my mornings so much better. The rooms themselves have this perfect balance – they’re clearly well-maintained and comfortable without feeling sterile. I particularly loved how they managed to blend traditional touches with modern necessities. The bathroom was spacious enough that I didn’t feel like I was playing Tetris with my toiletries, and the bed… well, let’s just say I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in months.

Here’s the thing though – it’s the little details that really set this place apart. The way the morning light filters through the windows, the fact that you can actually open them (revolutionary concept, right?), and how quiet it gets at night despite being in a bustling area. I was worried about noise initially, but honestly, once you’re inside, it’s remarkably peaceful. The breakfast spread was another pleasant surprise – fresh, local ingredients rather than the usual hotel buffet suspects. They had this incredible selection of pastries that I’m pretty sure came from a nearby bakery, and the coffee was strong enough to properly wake you up without being bitter. If I had to nitpick anything, I’d say the Wi-Fi could be a touch faster in some areas, but that’s honestly a minor complaint. With an 8.5 rating, you’re looking at a place that consistently delivers without the pretension you might expect. It’s the kind of hotel where you’d actually want to spend time in your room rather than just crash for the night.

  Location was terrific, the owner was really responsive whenever I contacted her. The check in and check out process was easy. Lovely common parts with an indoor courtyard to sit and soak up the sun. A nice touch to have a couple of bottles of water and biscuits.
  
  What could be improved: It would have been useful to have a chair in the room to put our clothes on! Also for guests it would be nice for there to be the odd leaflet or local map in the room on arrival.

  Every Bed & Breakfast should be modeled from Relais Ristori! Every detail is thought of, all because it’s run by very lovely young lady, Maria Vitoria, who loves what she does. From meeting the guests, attending to every wish, guessing what you need, helping with your luggage, cooking excellent breakfast, making great coffee…just to start!

  Great location, very clean throughout, Maria was a wonderful host and the cost was very reasonable indeed. Breakfast was an excellent choice of food and the freshly made scrambled eggs were wonderful.
