There’s a balcony overlooking the river, and in the mornings, you’d hear the gentle hum of boats and birds, not the usual city roar. Oh, and the Wi-Fi? Solid, no buffering issues even when I was streaming shows late at night. That said, it’s not perfect – the air conditioning can be a bit noisy if you’re a light sleeper, and while the breakfast spread is decent (fresh croissants, yogurt, and that strong Italian coffee), it’s self-serve in a communal area that gets crowded around 8 a.m. on weekends. But hey, that’s part of the authentic vibe; it sort of forces you to mingle with other guests, like that German couple who tipped me off about the hidden trails along the Adige for a quiet bike ride.

All in all, if you’re visiting Verona and want to skip the overpriced spots in the historic center – you know, around Piazza delle Erbe where everything’s jammed with tour groups – this 4-star gem is a smart pick. It’s got that 8.7 rating for good reason: comfortable, practical, and positioned just right for day trips to Lake Garda (about 40 minutes by car). I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in fall when the leaves turn and the neighborhood feels even more magical. Just pack light layers – Verona’s evenings can get chilly by the river.

  Great hotel and location to those who would like to explore Verona and other Italian cities nearby. The room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. The staff were very kind and helpful. Everything worked very well.

  Views from the terrace were very good. The location was a little out from the main area of Verona but a good bus service was just outside the residence. It was a nice walk into Verona alongside the river. The local neighborhood had good supermarket, cafes and restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: Although a good bus service was available it didn't run late at night so a taxi or walk back from Verona if you were out late.
  The apartment was good but could have done with a kettle.
