Residence Verona Inn Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Residence Verona Inn on Via Anton Maria Lorgna, you immediately get the sense this is one of those places that just works. It’s not flashy or trying too hard — honestly, that’s part of its charm. The building has this understated Italian elegance that feels authentic, and you know what? The fact that it’s tucked away in Borgo Roma actually makes it more appealing once you realize how well-connected this area is. This three-star property offers genuine comfort without unnecessary pretension.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Borgo Roma — most tourists overlook this neighborhood, but locals know it’s brilliant. You’re close enough to Verona‘s historic center (about 15 minutes by bus or a pleasant bike ride), but you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise that come with staying right in the tourist zone. The parking situation alone makes this worth considering — having your own secure spot in Verona is actually a big deal, especially if you’re planning day trips to Lake Garda or the Valpolicella wine region. The neighborhood offers excellent connectivity while maintaining a peaceful, residential atmosphere.
The Accommodation
This property gets the basics absolutely right. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed without unnecessary frills. The staff clearly understands that travelers want reliable WiFi, good water pressure, and a decent night’s sleep — and they deliver on all fronts. I mean, sometimes you just want a place that works well rather than somewhere that’s trying to impress you with fancy amenities you’ll never use. The attention to detail in maintaining comfort standards is genuinely impressive.
What Makes It Special
The real magic here is how the place feels more like a neighborhood stay than a typical hotel experience. You’ll find yourself walking past local cafes and family-run shops that tourists rarely discover. There’s this excellent little restaurant just around the corner that serves proper Veronese cuisine — the kind of place where the menu changes based on what’s fresh at the market. The residence itself maintains that authentic Italian hospitality where the staff actually remembers your name and asks about your plans. This genuine connection to the local community sets it apart from standard accommodations.
Why Guests Love It
Couples especially seem to appreciate the quieter vibe here, and I can see why — it’s romantic in that effortless Italian way without being overly touristy. The 8.4 rating reflects what you experience: solid service, great value, and that rare feeling of staying somewhere that locals would actually recommend. Plus, having reliable transport links means you can explore Verona’s famous sites during the day and return to a peaceful neighborhood in the evening. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Verona, not just the postcard version. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this residence delivers authentic Italian hospitality.

Reviews of Residence Verona Inn
Sanja from Netherlands – 13 July 2024 (8/10)
Spacious, nice that it has a kitchen, two separate beds (was traveling with a colleague) and couch/bed in the living room. The airconditioning was very welcome. It was nice and cool inside, the balcony was nice, the kitchen was useful. Price is fair for what you book. Communication with Luigi was great: very quick and clear.
What could be improved: It's a bit outside of the center, which means you do have to travel a bit to go in and out of Verona itself. However, the electric steps are great to get around cheaply and its app works amazing. Still with a step, it takes about 20 min to get to/from the center.Godfred from United Kingdom – 9 June 2024 (8/10)
Kitchen is nice and the room
What could be improved: The is too smallDanielle from Australia – 2 June 2024 (7/10)
Quiet place to stay in Verona if that is your vibe
What could be improved: Far from the city center unless you like to walk, doors are unlocked via a code which malfunctioned/would not work, where we were waiting for around close to 2 hours for the building manager to help us unlock the door and respond to us (The person who unlocked the door who I assume was the building manager emerged from an apartment inside the building once we started taking action to talking to the police). Would not stay here again due to risk of not being able to get in without a physical key which could be disastrous if you are on a schedule.Kiran from Netherlands – 27 April 2024 (9/10)
Prompt reply to queries and information sharing in advance. The place is very spacious and very clean.
What could be improved: Some coffee items and shower gel could have made the stay more comfortable.Boris from Slovakia – 21 April 2024 (9/10)
Thank you very much for pleasant time in your hotel. It met our expectations, there were no problems. We can certainly recommend it. Thank you once again.
Julia from Ukraine – 14 October 2023 (8/10)
Very nice big apartment , quiet, spacious, comfortable beds
What could be improved: A bit far away from the old city – 45min Walk or you need to take a busVirgie from Italy – 29 August 2023 (9/10)
I liked the hassle free check-in process. The bed was comfortable, and the a/c was very cool. There was a nice balcony. It was close to the bus stop and the nearest bar was 200m away. There is a ref, microwave, TV, and hair dryer. The towels were nice and fluffy.
What could be improved: The neighborhood itself is kind of scary. There was no coffee machine. There were no knives or plates or bottled water. It is an apartment but you only have plates and cups for coffee/tea but no coffee machine. If you wanted to eat, there were no plates.Vadim from Estonia – 1 August 2023 (9/10)
The apartment is located in a quiet street near the railway station. Both the front door and the apartment's door have code locks. All the necessary amenities are there, including a washing machine and an ironing board. The place is clean and quiet, and the neighborhood is calm and friendly.
What could be improved: The air conditioner was located in the living room, which was a little too far away from the bedroom for the cool air to reach there. On the second night, the door electronic lock's mechanism suddenly fell off due to being held in place by a worn piece of double-sided tape. Also, the stairs were quite steep, as the floors were much higher than in an average block of flats (this wasn't an issue for us, but might be for you).Nicole from Singapore – 13 June 2023 (8/10)
Huge apartment, there was so much space it felt comfortable! There was a washing machine as well which was comfortable. Theres a good pizza place and a supermarket nearby too.
What could be improved: Its quite a walk from the train station, the path is flat but gravely so you need to be prepared for it. We were also on the top floor (3/4th) and there were no lifts. Air conditioning didn't work at first but the owner kindly sent the housekeeper down to help out and we were fine afterwords.Elena from Israel – 21 April 2023 (9/10)
Everything was just great. Big and comfortable apartments in 20 min walk from the center. Quiet. Friendly hosts. Just perfect.
