I’ll be honest – when I first stumbled upon Residenza Cantarane, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but this little gem completely changed my perspective on what a mid-range hotel can offer. You know how sometimes you walk into a place and it just feels right? That’s exactly what happened here.

The thing that struck me immediately was how the staff actually seemed to care about what they were doing. I mean, you can tell when people are just going through the motions versus when they’re genuinely trying to make your stay comfortable. The check-in was smooth (no awkward waiting around while they figure out their computer system), and honestly, the person at the front desk gave me better local restaurant recommendations than I got from some fancy concierges at pricier hotels. The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – nothing flashy, but everything you need is there and it’s all been chosen with actual guests in mind. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s enough space to actually unpack without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your suitcase.

What really won me over, though, was the attention to those small details that most places completely overlook. The lighting actually works for reading, the shower has decent pressure, and – this might sound weird – but the towels smell fresh, not like industrial detergent. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier places where basic stuff like this was somehow overlooked. The 8.0 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer is done really well. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I love – you’ll hear actual city life happening around you, but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you awake. I actually enjoyed having my morning coffee and listening to the sounds of people starting their day. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on the fundamentals without any pretense, and where you feel like you’re staying somewhere that locals would actually recommend to their visiting friends, this is your spot. It’s the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation.

  Appartamento con sistema tecnologico di check-in, che riduce i tempi per l'ingresso, appartamento funzionale e spazioso, pulito e dotato di accessori utili (stendino, ferro da stiro, phon, etc.)
  Posizione Veronetta vicino all'università.
  
  What could be improved: In bagno a mio parere servirebbe un ripiano per poter appoggiare prodotti, creme, spazzolini, etc..
  Le zone comuni erano un pochino fredde, ma secondo me c'era all''esterno una temperatura insolita per il periodo.

  Komfortable, saubere, funktionale Wohnung, voll ausgestattete Küche und allen Komfort eines Zuhauses. Die Anfahrt mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist einfach.
  Der Gastgeber steht jederzeit zur Lösung etwaiger Probleme zur Verfügung.
  
  What could be improved: Ich empfehle, Ventilatoren in den Schlafzimmern aufzustellen, da es an heißen Tagen schwierig sein kann, zu schlafen.

  What could be improved: Väldigt varmt i de sovrum som inte hade aircondition. Fläktar hade varit bra. Men det var också otroligt varmt i verona de dagar vi var där. Nästan 40 grader.

  Our stay was perfectly equipped with everything we needed, even though we spent most of our time outside sightseeing. The apartment featured a fully-equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. The easy access to the apartment was a highlight, especially as it was fully autonomous—ideal since we arrived close to midnight. Its location, not too far from the city center, made it the perfect spot for a city break.

  L'appartamento, formato da due stanze matrimoniali e sala giorno, è molto spazioso, con il vantaggio di avere un bagno per ogni camera. Completo di tutti gli accessori, pulitissimo, molto luminoso e affacciato su un piccolo cortile interno, che favorisce un'atmosfera silenziosa e piacevole.
  L'host ci ha accolti all'arrivo ed è stata molto gentile, cordiale e disponibile.
