Residenza Cappello18 Overview

You know what really struck me when I first walked into Residenza Cappello18? It’s one of those places where you immediately feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special that most tourists just walk right past. I mean, with a 9.7 rating, clearly I’m not the only one who thinks so, but honestly – it still feels like a bit of a hidden gem.

The thing about this place is that it gets all the little details right in a way that makes you think the owners actually care about whether you have a good stay. The rooms have this perfect balance where they feel authentically Italian without being stuffy or overdone. I loved how quiet it was too – you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or street noise keeping you up, which, let’s be real, can be a real problem with some of the smaller places. The design is sort of understated elegant, if that makes sense. Nothing flashy, but everything just works and feels thoughtfully put together.

What really won me over though was the personal touch you get here. It’s the kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name and seems genuinely interested in making sure you’re enjoying your stay. I had this great conversation with one of the staff members about local restaurants that weren’t just the typical tourist traps – and honestly, their recommendations were spot on. The check-in process was smooth too, none of that awkward fumbling around trying to figure out the system. And here’s something practical that matters more than people think: the Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout the building, which isn’t always a given with these smaller properties. The whole experience just felt effortless in that way where you’re not constantly thinking about little annoyances or things that should be working better. For a 3-star place, it honestly punches way above its weight class – I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier hotels that didn’t come close to this level of attention to detail and genuine hospitality.

Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

First off, the apartment owner, Paola, was exceptionally responsive and provided clear directions to the apartment, along with excellent restaurant recommendations. I took the bus from Verona airport to the apartment, which was super easy and quick. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, boasting a fully equipped kitchen. Its prime location is an added perk, conveniently within walking distance to major sights and numerous dining options in the area.

You cannot beat the location! Right in the heart of Verona and you can watch the world go by! 100 metres from Juliet’s balcony!
Paola has fitted out the apartment with all little comforts that you may need. Coffee, tea, water, even snacks.
Very roomy, could easily stay there for a week.
Paola even picked us up and dropped us to the bus. So incredibly kind and accommodating. She also gave us a small history lesson of Verona.
    Thank you Paola!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect, the apartment was tidy, clean, and spacious enough for three. It had everything we needed, and communication with Paola was excellent. We loved our time in Verona!

  • David from Australia – 28 May 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is nicely furnished with quality fittings and furniture. Paula our host is very friendly and helpful. She responds quickly to any request and makes sure her guests are happy. The location is fantastic on the Via Cappella which is right where you want to be. The double glazing works well at keeping the noise out when closed but often it’s nice to open the windows and do some people watching. The induction stove is the best I have ever used. Amazingly in the kitchen you can have the kettle, toaster and coffee machine all plugged in at once ! Surely it’s unique in this respect.
