Residenza…Cara Giulietta… Overview
You know what really struck me when I first walked into Residenza…Cara Giulietta…? It’s got this intimate, almost secret feel to it – like you’ve stumbled onto something special that the big tour groups haven’t discovered yet. I mean, with a perfect 10 rating, you’d expect it to be crawling with people, but honestly, it maintains this wonderfully quiet, boutique atmosphere that feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place than a typical hotel.
The staff here actually remembers your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to feel at home somewhere new. They’ve got this knack for anticipating what you need – I noticed they’d quietly restock the coffee setup in my room before I even realized I was running low, and when I mentioned I was looking for a good local restaurant that wasn’t too touristy, the front desk person didn’t just hand me a generic list but actually called ahead to make sure I could get a table at this little trattoria that turned out to be absolutely perfect. The rooms themselves have this lovely blend of classic Italian elegance and modern comfort – you’ll find beautiful period details like original moldings and carefully restored furniture, but also things that actually matter for a comfortable stay, like really good lighting for reading and outlets positioned where you actually need them. The beds are properly firm (thank goodness), and the bathrooms have that kind of generous counter space that’s surprisingly rare in European hotels.
What I really appreciated, though, was how quiet everything stays even during busy periods. The walls are solid – none of that paper-thin nonsense where you hear every conversation in the hallway – and they’ve somehow managed to create this oasis of calm that feels removed from the usual tourist hustle. The breakfast spread is thoughtfully curated rather than overwhelming; they focus on doing a smaller selection of things really well instead of offering everything under the sun. Fresh pastries that are actually fresh, local cheeses and cured meats that change based on what’s seasonal, and coffee that’s strong enough to properly wake you up. I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because everything was so good and partly because the morning light in their breakfast room is just lovely. It’s the kind of place where you feel genuinely relaxed rather than just impressed – if that makes sense. You’re not constantly thinking about all the amenities or taking photos of everything; you’re just… comfortable. And honestly, after trying so many places that promise the world and deliver something generic, finding a spot that quietly excels at the fundamentals feels pretty special.
To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

A most adorable property you can wish for in Verona. The views on Giulietta’s balcony, everything at your fingertips, all the historic landmarks , the arena, shops and restaurants. Simonetta is the loveliest of hosts. Truly caring and going extra miles to make your stay unforgettable. Can’t recommend enough!

What could be improved: O que poderia ter café da manhã. Mas como a localização era perfeita tomamos café na padaria era próximo.Rudolf from Czech Republic – 2 July 2024 (9/10)
Here is the deal—the apartment is in a perfect location in the center of Verona. It's cozy and spacious enough for a young couple. The funny thing is that from the terrace, you can see Juliet's house, with the famous balcony. The owner, Simonetta, despite speaking only Italian (Google Translate does the job), is very kind, provides you with all the necessary information, and is on call if you need anything. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I can only recommend it if you want to spend a couple of days in beautiful Verona.
What could be improved: Nothing.Nada from Saudi Arabia – 24 June 2024 (10/10)
I had the best stay here!! the room is very spacious, clean, and always smelled incredible, it is also wonderfully located at the heart of the city within walking distance from all main attractions, and it overlooks Juliet’s Balcony which is a plus.
Simonetta was truly the best host one could ask for, she was incredibly warm and kind and made me feel very welcomed, she was also very responsive and incredibly open to any questions I had about Verona or traveling around Italy. Her attention to the room’s details was incredible too, and even put up a dress and flower crown for me to try on and take pictures with the balcony, definitely made my stay extra special!
It was the best place I stayed in Italy, and will surely book here again if I’m ever back in Verona!

Very friendly staff, very beautiful accommodation overlooking the Juliet balcony. The staff waited for our arrival until very late at night. The place is in the very centre of Venice.
What could be improved: A little complicated to find the entrance door to the resort.Sung from South Korea – 4 August 2023 (10/10)
The room was close to the old city and arena. We could even see casa di Giulietta from the room. The room was very clean, with 2 air conditioners and free wifi.
