Residenza CuordiVerona Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Residenza CuordiVerona feels like stepping into someone’s elegant Italian home — if that someone had impeccable taste and a prime piece of real estate in Verona‘s heart. The building sits right on Piazza Cittadella, which honestly couldn’t be more central if you tried. I mean, you’re literally in the historical center, surrounded by those honey-colored stone buildings that make Verona so photogenic.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about five minutes, but you’re not stuck in the tourist chaos. Piazza Cittadella has this quieter, more residential feel while still being incredibly well-connected. The four-star property really capitalizes on this sweet spot between accessibility and tranquility. You know what’s great? Couples absolutely rave about this place, and I get it — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of historic Verona without feeling like you’re camping out in a museum.
The Accommodations
The rooms here feel more like staying in a stylish Italian apartment than a typical hotel. Each space has character — think exposed beams, warm colors, and furnishings that actually look like someone chose them with care rather than ordering them from a hotel catalog. The bathrooms are modern without feeling sterile, and honestly, the attention to detail shows. You’ll find little touches that make the space feel personal, which is refreshing when you’re used to cookie-cutter hotel experiences.
What Sets It Apart
Recent guests consistently highlight the location as exceptional, and after spending time here, I understand why. It’s not just about being central — though that’s obviously a huge plus — it’s about being in the right kind of central. You’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main tourist drags to actually get some peace. The staff seems to genuinely know the area well, which makes a difference when you want recommendations that go beyond the obvious attractions. Plus, there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that feels authentically Veronese rather than generically Italian.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.7 rating tells the story pretty well, but what really stands out is how this place works for different types of travelers. Couples clearly adore it — and I can see why, given the intimate atmosphere and romantic setting. But it’s also practical for anyone who wants to explore Verona on foot without constantly checking maps or figuring out transportation. The combination of historical charm and modern comfort hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re having an authentic Italian experience without sacrificing the conveniences you actually want. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can manage it.

Rosaria and her staff were wonderful. My room was clean and comfortable. The elevator was a plus. And the location could not be better. A five minute walk to big Piazza Bra, many restaurants and the ancient amphitheater, and 2 minutes to a mini-grocery and pharmacy. Just a great place to stay!
What could be improved: Nothing.Stella from Germany – 23 March 2025 (9/10)
The location is exceptional. It is close to everything. The staff is amazing, very helpful and available. The breakfast is Italian style, sweet but very nice and satisfying and fresh.

Excellent location. Lovely and quiet.
What could be improved: Wi Fi was weak.Esteban from Germany – 22 October 2024 (9/10)
The place is beautifully arranged, as are the color-themed rooms. We got the green one. Each room seems to have been recently renovated, yet kept a part of the old antique wall exposed, which made it even more special. The place is 4 mins from the incredible roman Arena, in front of a nice little park with a fountain. Perfect location. Note that it's 20 mins walking from the train station, which was pretty ok.
The staff was very kind, and helpful. Breakfast was very nice: sweet breakfast with croissants, yogurts and fruits and great coffee.
They let us keep our luggage after check-out while we continued our visit of lovely Verona. We are definitely coming back. Keep in mind check-in is only possible until 5:30 pm.Martha from United States – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: I was worried that the curtains were se through.Carol from Australia – 26 September 2024 (8/10)
Loved the location and the room was spacious, lovely and quiet. Staff was very kind and the shared space was good.
What could be improved: It would have been nice to have a kettle and tea /coffee making facilities in the room or available for our use. Despite this we would certainly stay here again.René from Denmark – 26 August 2024 (9/10)
