Residenza Della Samaritana Overview

You know what really struck me about Residenza Della Samaritana? It’s one of those places that feels like a well-kept secret, even though it clearly isn’t anymore – I mean, you don’t get a 9.6 rating by flying under the radar. When I first walked in, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone, but there’s something immediately calming about the atmosphere here that just makes you want to drop your bags and exhale.

The thing about this residenza is that it manages to feel both intimate and polished at the same time, which is actually harder to pull off than you’d think. I’ve stayed in plenty of boutique places that try too hard to be charming, but this one gets it right. The attention to detail is really something – not in an over-the-top way, but in those small touches that you notice throughout your stay. The kind of place where someone clearly cares about the guest experience without making a big show of it. And honestly, after dealing with some pretty mediocre hotels lately, it was refreshing to stay somewhere that actually lives up to its reputation.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to anticipate what you needed without being intrusive about it. You know how some places hover over you constantly, and others make you feel like you’re bothering them just by existing? This hits that sweet spot where they’re genuinely helpful but give you space to settle in. I actually ended up chatting with one of the team members about local recommendations, and they knew their stuff – not just the obvious tourist spots, but places that locals actually go. The whole experience felt personal in a way that’s becoming increasingly rare, especially at places with ratings this high. It’s the sort of place where you find yourself already planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out, which I suppose explains why they’ve managed to maintain such consistently excellent reviews.

Reviews of Residenza Della Samaritana

  • Spacious accommodations in the heart of Verona. – Rosanne from United States – 8 July 2025 (10/10)

Efficient, clear instructions for self-check-in. Apartment had EVERYTHING that we needed. Wished we were staying there for more than 2 nights. Close to the sites. Above a great restaurant. AC works incredibly well. Perfect for us and two of our adult children. Wish we could have met our host. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Loved every second! From pre check in to check out very attentive keepers – Scott from Canada – 7 July 2025 (10/10)

Excellent location in the middle of everything! Beautiful apartment located within walking distance of everything you need to see! As well the family owned restaurant located within the same building serves excellent cuisine! Highly recommended and if we ever come back to Verona will definitely attempt to stay here again! • Exceptional – Christopher from United Kingdom – 5 July 2025 (10/10)

Excellent location right in city centre, but not noisy at all. Very good air conditioning – life saver in such hot weather. Massimo was really helpful and booked us a table in the restaurant downstairs which was excellent.

  • Fantastic stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again. – Alison from United Kingdom – 5 July 2025 (10/10)

Excellent location. Apartment was clean and comfortable and check in was not a problem as system set up for late arrival guests. Air con very effective. Good size bathroom. Small balcony to sit on if you wanted to. Very comfortable beds. Daily clean of apartment not expected but most appreciated.

What could be improved: Addition of a few more kitchen essentials i.e. chopping board, ice trays, sharp kitchen knife. An anti-slip mat in the shower area would be good as slightly slippery when being used. A bathroom shelf to put cosmetics away. More clothes hangars and storage for clothes and shoes.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment. We cannot fault anything about it. – Wendy from United Kingdom – 3 July 2025 (10/10)

The location was ideal. Shops, restaurants and city sights were on our doorstep. We loved the coffee and water that were provided.

The apartment is beautiful, in a magnificent location, two bedrooms and two bathrooms with extreme cleanliness, the apartment smelled delicious. I spent 12 days in Italy and this was MY BEST stay. It's a shame I didn't spend more days in Verona to enjoy this beautiful city and this amazing apartment.
