Residenza Duomo3 – Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Residenza Duomo3 – Apartments honestly feels like stepping into someone’s beautifully curated Italian home rather than a typical hotel. The building sits right on Piazza Duomo — I mean, you literally can’t get more central than this in Verona. When I say you’re in the heart of the city, I’m not exaggerating; you’ll hear the cathedral bells from your window, and the famous balcony scene locations are just a few minutes’ walk away.
The Location Magic
You know what’s incredible about this spot? Everything worth seeing is right outside your door. The Duomo di Verona dominates the piazza, and honestly, having morning coffee while looking at that Romanesque facade never gets old. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but this four-star property actually delivers — couples consistently rate the location a perfect 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The narrow medieval streets branch out from the piazza like spokes on a wheel, leading to hidden wine bars and family-run trattorias that most tourists never find.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate. The spaces blend modern comfort with Italian character — think exposed beams, quality linens, and windows that actually open (which sounds basic but trust me, it matters). The kitchen setup is particularly well done; it’s not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation but an actual functional space where you could prepare a proper meal if you wanted to. I appreciated having real counter space and decent cookware, especially after picking up fresh ingredients from the morning market nearby.
Daily Life Here
What I love about staying here is how quickly you slip into a local rhythm. Morning espresso at the café downstairs, then maybe a stroll to Piazza delle Erbe for the market — it’s about a three-minute walk through cobblestone streets that feel like a movie set. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so when you ask for dinner recommendations, you’re not getting the standard tourist traps. They pointed me toward this tiny osteria tucked behind the cathedral where locals actually eat, and it became my go-to spot for the rest of my stay.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of authentic Italian living and prime location creates something special here. You’re not just visiting Verona; you’re temporarily living in its most historic quarter. The 9.6 rating makes perfect sense when you experience how seamlessly everything works — from the smooth check-in process to the way your room becomes a genuine home base for exploring the city. Plus, there’s something romantic about falling asleep to the sound of footsteps echoing off ancient stones and waking up to church bells rather than traffic noise. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with Italian cities in the first place.
Verona’s apartments offer charming accommodations with period features, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this culturally rich Italian city.

Evgenii from Italy – 27 December 2024 (10/10)
We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Verona. The place was very clean, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located close to the main attractions in the old town. The view from the windows was stunning, overlooking the magnificent Verona Cathedral (Duomo).
The apartment had two spacious bedrooms with comfortable large beds, ensuring a good night’s rest. The kitchen was well-equipped with a refrigerator stocked with drinks, a stove, and a capsule coffee machine complete with coffee pods. Additionally, there were crispbreads and jam provided, which was a thoughtful touch.
Everything about our stay was perfect, and we truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended!Lou330 from Australia – 20 December 2024 (10/10)
Absolute perfection. This is a 5 star experience. Every detail is a beautiful surprise. I highly recommend this apartment. Just like a suite in a 5 star hotel.

Let me start by saying I’m a tough grader with reviews. So getting a 10/10 from me is a big deal.
What a wonderful experience. Stefano, the owner, took impeccable care of us. First, the building and apartments are outstanding. We stayed in the top floor two bedroom/one bath with balconies. The view over the Duomo was lovely. The space is extremely well cared for, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and bedding, nice living room, Venetian glass lighting accents, tasteful art, and massive well insulated (and quiet) windows. There’s even a washer/dryer in this unit as part of the nicely equipped kitchen.
Stefano welcomed us in person, with chocolates and coffee and a fridge stocked with some soft drinks. He offered up amazing suggestions for dinners and coffee, and even treated us to cappuccino our first day here. This is an especially welcoming and kind city, and Duomo3 was equally welcoming and kind.
He also hooked us up with his driver to take one of our friends to the Milan airport at 3:30am. The guy showed up in an S-Class MBZ and she was at the airport in 90min. Considering the distance, and cost of gas and tolls, it was well worth it.
If you visit be sure to ask him about Gemma pizzeria. We’ve just spent five weeks in Italy (just three days/two nights in Verona) and his pizza rec nailed it. Best we’ve had in the whole country. Seriously no exaggeration.
I would stay here again, without any hesitation. Thank you, Stefano!

Francine from United Kingdom – 13 September 2024 (10/10)
The owner Stefan was very welcoming and an excellent host and let us store our luggage when we arrived early and provided transport for us. The refreshments and chocolates were a lovely gesture and the apartment was very clean and the facilities and location were excellent. Everything was provided and communication with the host was good throughout our stay.
What could be improved: Extra storage in the second bedroom would be useful. Maybe a coffee table in the living room?Mark from Australia – 8 September 2024 (10/10)
It was extremely clean and well played out to cater to our small family. In a quiet location and was comfortable
What could be improved: Nothing we didn’t like
