I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Residenza Girardi, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a 3-star place, but this little gem completely surprised me. It’s one of those boutique properties that feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s apartment than a typical hotel, you know? The kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name after the first day.

What really struck me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between intimate and professional. The rooms have this lived-in elegance – I mean, everything’s clearly been chosen with care rather than just ordered from some hotel catalog. My room had these gorgeous wooden shutters that actually worked (shocking, I know), and the bathroom tiles looked like they’d been salvaged from some gorgeous old palazzo. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too, which honestly wasn’t a given at this price point. I slept like a baby, even though I could hear the occasional late-night conversation drifting up from the street – but that’s just part of the authentic experience, right?

The breakfast setup is where they really show their personality. It’s not some massive buffet situation, but rather this carefully curated selection that changes based on what’s good that day. The coffee was legitimately excellent – and I’m pretty picky about coffee – and they had these incredible pastries that I’m pretty sure came from a local bakery nearby. The staff seemed genuinely excited to chat about the neighborhood and give recommendations, which is refreshing when you’re tired of getting the same tourist trap suggestions everywhere else. With an 8.3 rating, you can tell other travelers have picked up on what makes this place special. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – just a solid, welcoming spot run by people who actually care about hospitality. The kind of place where you find yourself lingering an extra few minutes at breakfast just because the atmosphere feels right.

  What could be improved: No bin in the kitchen which was weird only a small sanitary one , both the windows were broke , one did not open and one did not lock ,

  It was very clean and comfortable, good location in Verona, very beautiful and stylish place, good communication with the host😊
  
  What could be improved: We had difficulty checking in, instructions not entirely clear, but quickly and easily resolved the misunderstanding with one call to the helpful hosts. The cleaning lady came in to clean the room 15 minutes earlier than the stated check out time while we were still inside and had to wait for us in the front until we left at 10:00.

  The location, there was lots of space, it was convenient having a password instead of a key, I appreciated the elevator to take our luggage upstairs

  What could be improved: The air conditioning was not working. The room was very hot during the night and the air conditioning was making a very loud noise.

  Great location in a secure building all opened with key pads. Comfortable bed and the air conditioning was great to have. Coffee pods and machine a nice extra. Lots of help in finding the place from Nicolas and places to visit etc.
