I remember asking about dinner spots and getting these detailed walking directions that included landmarks like “the pharmacy with the green awning” and “where the street gets cobblestoned.” That’s local knowledge you can’t Google.

The rooms themselves have this lived-in elegance that works really well. Nothing’s brand new or Instagram-perfect, but everything feels thoughtfully maintained. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms – well, they’re not huge, but the water pressure is solid and everything works properly. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’d think being in the city center would mean dealing with street noise, but the building seems to buffer most of it. I’m a light sleeper, so this mattered more to me than fancy toiletries or whatever. Speaking of location though, you’re genuinely within walking distance of places that matter without being right in the middle of the tourist chaos. It’s that sweet spot where you can duck back to your room if you need a break, but you’re not spending half your day commuting to anything interesting. The morning routine felt natural too – grab coffee from that little place around the corner, plan your day without rushing, actually enjoy the process of being somewhere new instead of feeling like you’re checking boxes on an itinerary. Honestly, for the price point and the overall experience, Residenza Leoncino delivers on being a comfortable base that doesn’t get in the way of why you’re traveling in the first place.

  Everything was great, a lovely big room with towels, hairdryer, toiletries & coffee machine (Room 2). Communication with the owner was also great through WhatsApp and the check in / check out process was easy. Very close to the Arena with lots of restaurants nearby, walking distance to the train station too.
  
  What could be improved: Noise from the road was very loud during the night, we live in central london so used to traffic noise but we woke up a lot from passing cars & even people walking by talking. Not the properties fault but worth mentioning for any light sleepers.
  
  Perhaps also needs so extra pegs to hang towels.

  The room was very clean and spacious, very pretty with a very pretty balcony. The guy who welcomed us was very attentive, he let us check in early and sent us several tips for restaurants and tours. Very attentive, easy to find accommodation.
